2005-07-17 Character Issue - 3 - Obedience

Noah earned the superhero name "The Incredible Splash" by building an ark for 120 years when it had never rained on earth—warned by God about things not yet seen, demonstrating that genuine faith always leads to obedience and action. This message explores Noah's parallel to today's believers who have been similarly warned about coming judgment through Revelation. Discover why building life on faith doesn't mean how you live doesn't matter (license) and why adding works to keep faith fails (legalism). Learn what it cost Noah to drop his agenda for God's agenda, build counterintuitively in desert, and face embarrassment, yet continue in holy fear reverencing God's Word. Understand the contemporary parallel: Jesus building His church as God's ark, with believers called to join in building despite being marginalized by society, living as exiles longing for heavenly country rather than trying to fit into the world's values.
