2013 World Series Showing New Economy

The World Series begins this week.  The St. Louis Cardinals play the Boston Red Sox. These are by the records the two best teams in baseball.  But they’re different from the teams of the 1990s and the early 2000s.  Are we seeing baseball go through some changes – due to the new economy? My guest is Doug Flynn.  Doug, as many of you remember, is a former major league baseball player.  He played with the 5 teams from 1975 to 1985.  Among them, the Cincinnati Reds when they won the World Series with the Big Red Machine in 1975 and 1976.
