Dr. Parasuraman from the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation ( http://www.mssrf.org/ ) reports from Chennai India on the projects he is working on. He has worked with the Foundation since 1980. They focus on pro-nature, bio-technology, bio-technology, bio-diversity, eco-technology, and information and communication technologies. Specifically, climate change adaptation, food security, gender development, youth in agriculture, and sustainable development. Begun with three people in 1980 the Foundation now employs over 350 people. They work in India and other countries such as Cambodia and Chile. They focus on grassroots development. They characterize their work as "modern Ghandi".
