This weekend we enter the season of "Advent". Advent means waiting. We live in a world that tries to eliminate any waiting. The Israelites were waiting for a Messiah to come and bring hope, love, peace, and joy. Christmas was not just for those waiting 2,000 years ago, but it is the promise for all of us who continue to wait today. The Christmas Story is the story of God bringing hope into a messy and broken world, and He is still bringing hope into our world today.
