2018 08-23 Chillicothe school board accepted the resignation of superintendent Jon Saxton

The Chillicothe school board has accepted the resignation of superintendent Jon Saxton...effective at the end of the year, and with a six-figure settlement. Bill Bonner was the lone dissenter on the board, and explained his reasons. Joy Shoemaker praised Saxton, but said she shares no blood relation with him. The school board also voted to agree with Chillicothe Council on the terms of school resource officers, which they said council will vote on Monday.
