This week we are chatting with ultrarunners and race directors Alyx Luck and Billy Barnett! In this episode we hear about their respective journeys and how they came to find each other on Hawaii. Alyx shares lessons she learned through competitive body building, racing around the world, and coaching others in health and fitness. Billy and I chat about his teaching career, awesome places to trail run in his home state of Virginia, and why you should use running to simply go out and explore. We also dive into the new races they are directing, including the Mauna Kea 50 Miler, the Time for Wine 6Hr race, and the Under the Moon Ultra which takes runners completely across the Big Island through the middle of the night.
