We revisit 1 Thessalonians to look at the encouragement Paul gives to this young church as they look at loss... specifically the loss that is death. The only reason death can be viewed as 'sleep' is because we know a Saviour who has conquered death, overcome the grave, and reigns in authority over all. Prayerfully you might find encouragement in loss too because your hope is not in a 'happening' but in the person of Jesus Christ!!
