2020 Cousin Chat
from Young Black MRS Hosted by Morgane F
In this bonus episode, Morgane and her cousins, Vicky and Morgan, reunite to discuss 2020 and have a cousin chat. They discuss the things they learned this year, work/life balance, discerning who should be in your tribe and who should not, the beauty that emerges from tragedy and setbacks, the small acts that can make a day, why Zoom is pretty dope, the importance of social connections, death and sickness in the family, vaccines, being Black in 2020, the good and the bad of the year, what they are hopeful for in 2021, and much more. The lively discussion serves to lift your spirits and give you something to look forward to in 2021. 2020 was like no other. Do you feel like this year was wasted? Stop it! Morgane is shakin' her curls at that mentality. With most things shut down or on pause, there was time to do what you want and realize we all strive at our own pace. She has a few gems you will like. There is nothing more comfortable than barbeque. Morgane is chewing on a vegan "pulled pork" sandwich made with shredded king oyster mushrooms topped with pickled cucumbers and red onion dressed in apple cider vinegar and red vinegar. It is a sweet and savory mouthful that you will enjoy. Don't forget to treat yourself with a side of fried potato wedges dredged in a garlic spread and covered in the seasoning for all things.
