2020 Honor Boards: Gary Bingham, Mesquite ISD, on Proactive Leadership

Gary Bingham, board president of Mesquite ISD, discusses how the board demonstrated proactive leadership through the creation of a one-of-a-kind accreditation program for campuses. The district has also teamed up with Google, using artificial intelligence to customize learning for students' different interests, gifts, and passions. The Mesquite ISD board is one of five 2020 Honor Boards named by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). The five boards are now finalists for Outstanding School Board. The 2020 Outstanding School Board will be announced by TASA on October 2 during the virtual txEDCON2020, the TASA | TASB Convention. txEDCON2020 will be held September 30–October 2.
