All I was able to dig out was a bunch of esoteric explanations about the release of hormones like vasopressin, oxytocin, dopamine, etc... A story teller is able to induce a myriad of feelings into his/her audience. A storyteller is able to pause your frontal cortex's cognitive functions. That's the power of story tellers
