So. But yeah, man, it's just, you know, we just gonna kind of kick it tonight a little bit. We're gonna get Shelton and Manny's, you know, picks for the season, which is gonna kind of commentate and watch the game for a little bit. Super chats, read any of those.
And just kind of kick it off for a little bit. Also, call it. We'll take some calls for members only as well. I'll drop that link in the members comment section for you guys to come in.
So we'll be on there for about an hour, hour and a half. And that'll be that. So I guess, fellas, I'm kind of trying to catch up to the game. But, because right now I just saw the, I saw Josh Allen interception.
Now I just saw Matt Stafford interception. So just kind of thoughts, early thoughts on what you guys are watching so far. Man, in my opinion, Buffalo was just dominating this game so far, they dominated the first quarter. They went for a couple turnovers, the fumble by the rookie, and that giveaway by Mackenzie.
And they went no Josh Allen, by the way. If it wasn't for that, this game probably a little different because they were driving that first time. And the second time they had a good field position. So this has really been a wash.
And it kind of plays into what I was saying the other day. It just looks like Buffalo came ready to play and the Rams still sleep a little bit. What about you, Q? Number one, I just think it's pretty much first game jitters.
And Josh Allen looks pretty good. So I just want to stay even right there. The Rams haven't even got a half a football team. Has not gotten a half a football under their belt yet.
So we just got to wait. But right now I would say that just first impressions, Josh Allen looks pretty good. Stephane Diggs looks really nice on his route. I think Gabe Davis might be a fantasy king this year.
So be on that, yeah. I'm sick about that too, because in two different leagues, I saw Gabe Davis sitting there and I said, man, I started thinking about those four times down. And I kept saying, man, they're going to throw the ball all over for you. And there's going to be times where these are going to be double coverage.
This is going to be the Gabe Davis show. And I should have picked him. I don't know how I didn't. I think I got excited about somebody else at the time.
But man, this is, and this is, you were absolutely right. First game for just precinct to see if somebody's player. So, you know, and then they got to go hang over, you know, getting the rings and all this stuff going on. We got to see what, you know, once everybody settled in.
But like I said, one of these things looked ready to play and one of them. Who was that other white boy opposite Cooper Cup? What is that, guys? He has a weird name, but what happened to the other guy that they got?
I was surprised to see him on the field. I think Ben Jefferson is out. Who's the other white out? Who was the other white out?
Ben Jefferson is hurt. What about Alarabas? Alarabas? Is he out tonight?
Because I haven't seen him. I don't know. Let me see, LA Rams, because when I said when they did the line up, they started a line up. I was like, who is he?
And yeah, Ben's scallronic. Wait, didn't he play last year, right? He was like a... Is he the slot receiver?
Yeah, I think he was the slot receiver, but he was like the number two tonight. So that was concerning. I mean, I know Alarabas and Evie's are a Van Jefferson. Was a little bit...
Is he out there? Is he out there? So I don't know. Okay.
Let's see how that goes. So I didn't hear anything. I had a soundtrack now. Yeah.
Oh, Till Vibas says he playing. A drink more water says he playing. Oh, okay. Oh, got it, got it, got it.
But you know what's funny, man? Football is an interest in sports sometimes, because like that first drive Buffalo had, they just walked down the field, they made it look easy. And since then, it's up, you know, for now, it looks like they're... Looks like they're about to score.
Like it's on a couple of... Well, it looks like they did score. Oh, let me just fast forward. Oh, they got to feel though.
But they're only up 10, you know? So like it looked like it was... They're like, this is gonna be easy for Buffalo. And then, and I don't happen a couple of picks, it happened for Buffalo and, you know, the Rams still kind of hanging in there.
So if they wake up, because I can kind of reach a shell, then there is some... They do look somewhat unsure. They just got a lotta gagging a little bit, and I'm like ready to go. And the Bills came up like, you know, we trying to get what you guys got.
So we'll see how I play out. Right, one team, Debbie. It was seen tonight has more to prove than the other. That's not a good way to start.
I might be behind a little bit. I think trying to talk about that. They're cute. That elbow.
The one thing the Rams is gonna have to do this year, and they won a Super Bowl without this last year, but I don't know how they can do it again. And that's have a proven leader in the backfield. They're going between Henderson and Cam Aker, the both were injured. But to be honest, neither one of the show lead back capabilities so far.
And I don't think, I don't know if they are. You know what I'm saying? Cam Aker's would have been the closest thing to a sure event on that. But with no running game, it's gonna be really, really tough to repeat because you're not gonna be able to, Cooper Cup had a monster season last year.
It would be wishful thinking to hope that he can repeat that. I don't think you can. But I mean, you know, he can have a good season, but not like it did last year. You're gonna need to run it back to step up.
You're gonna have to run the football. If you can't run the football in the NFL, you can't win. Well, I hope we do, cause you don't want fairness today. Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh.
Shit, I gotta play some quick games. I got just some exercises that we could do. Maybe people if y'all wanna chop it up with us and call anyone now. Maybe, you know, you might enjoy the game.
So the game is pretty much like a game of more likely to happen. Gotta choose one option. That's like it'd just be pretty cool to do. But what do you all think about this though?
What is more likely to happen? Paging my homes never wins another Super Bowl, or Aaron Rodgers wins a Super Bowl in the next three seasons. You said more than likely to happen, or not to happen. Which option is more likely to happen?
Just more, just like more likely. Not even saying that it's a possibility right now, but just oh, in like life, oh, this would be more possible than this, you know? In those two options, guys my home will never win another Super Bowl cause I don't see Aaron Rodgers doing anything. And it's not his fault totally in this case now.
It's just, they're gonna be the boy of the talent. And there's no cat room, you know? He gonna eat up a lot of that money. And by the time they get it right, he'll be gone.
I don't like this game word, it's question, but cause I hate to say it, but man, I'm unsure about Patrick Win another Super Bowl, bro. I just, I have been sitting on that for a while. And yeah, man, I'm getting that feeling, man. I hate it, but football is a weird sport that when it comes to Super Bowls, it requires luck.
And you have to also have the right coach as well. He had that with Andy Reid, but you look at how they lost last year, like you're not supposed to lose that game. You know what happened the year before? Like he's had some really good chance to win a Super Bowl.
Patrick Mahomes could very well turn into this a modern day version of Aaron Rodgers, where he just gets one. He just has that one run. And everybody talk about him like, man, with all that talent, all you got is one. And that's what I'm afraid of.
Man, let me ask you a question. Since we got you in here, we got Manny in here, Mobile Manny. So more likely to happen. Patrick Mahomes never wins another Super Bowl, or Aaron Rodgers wins a Super Bowl in the next three years, which is more likely to happen.
Likely to happen, Aaron Rodgers wins his second Super Bowl in the next three years, or Mahomes never wins another Super Bowl. Another ever. I think it's more likely that Aaron Rodgers gets a Super Bowl in the next three years. Okay.
It's more likely that Aaron Rodgers wins a Super Bowl in the three years. Mahomes never wins. Mahomes is too talented, man. And I know you can say that about anybody, right?
Like any great quarterback, I've always too talented. Marino was way too talented. He should have won more. He should have won a championship.
I don't know if you can say that about any great quarterback, but I just, as long as he stays healthy, and he's got Andy Reed or Andy Reed's system, I'll lie Andy Reed or the enemy of the enemy takes over for Andy Reed when Andy Reed eventually retires, I just can't see Mahomes not at least winning another championship, but it's hard to say because look at Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers might be, if not one of, you can make the argument he's the best quarterback in our lifetime. So, and he's only won one Super Bowl. And he's only gotten to win one Super Bowl. That's the crazy thing about it.
He's only gotten to be one Super Bowl. So yeah, but I still think I would put it more likely that Aaron Rodgers wins a championship that Mahomes not get back to Super Bowl. Look at that. Y'all can kill that Eric B.
enemy being a coach, then he just doesn't know. I was thinking about that when he said it, I was like, man, I hope so, man. I mean, yeah, I mean, it's looking like it. It's looking like it.
We all know he doesn't have the skin color for protection. I mean, but you know, he is hoping that Andy Reed looks out for him like the way. Top old, you know, coach Jop. Yeah.
Mike Tonglin, Mike Tonglin did in Miami. What's his name, D. Chloris. Chloris, yeah.
Uh-huh. Sheldon, we got Super Chats. Yeah, we got one from Tracy G. Tracy G, what you been at?
I ain't thinking the minute Tracy G. Tracy kind of went with the Derek car going to the Super Bowl talk if we know that's some BS. But I mean, if they have it, what's the year he was going to do that, you know, they got to see him? Speaking of Raiders.
They have no excuse to not have top five offense in my opinion. They like to have, if they're not at least not going to top three doors, then cars, it's not, he's not that guy. But if they have the Monte Adams, you got Hunter Red for all you got Waller, you should be scoring touchdowns at least three forward and things like game, dude. If not more.
So it's like Derek car, man, it's all on him this year. I think we're going to know if he's been getting a bad rap in the past or if he's just Kirk Cousins. I think we're going to know this year for certain. I think it's going to be set in stone.
There's nothing else that because if you give him these weapons, then what else do you need to show you that you're capable of? You need more weapons? No, that's not what you do. Yeah.
No, you're right. You know, the number of excuses for Derek car, and I've always been a Derek car defender. I think he's a better quarterback than the NFL. Twitter will let you believe.
I mean, people like Derek cars basically some bum off the street. The guy's a good quarterback. OK, we get to be whether he's top 10, whatever. But he's a very good quarterback.
But I agree with you. I think this is the year where he's got to put it all together. There's no more excuses. He's finally got that said receiver.
And the Monte Adams, not to say, I'm very cool, but wasn't that guy. But obviously that partnership didn't last that long. But he's got the Monte Adams. He's got to go running game.
The defense is going to be improved. One would think. Everybody tells me Josh McDani was a genius. I didn't see it in Denver the first time around.
But everybody tells me he's a genius. So I got to believe it, right? So there's no more excuses for Derek car. So what do you all think when it comes to another one?
I wrote that a bunch of these for more likely to happen. Feel free to call in and feel free to interact in the chat room. Feel free to come over those of your own and ask them to the crew. So what I got right here is more likely to happen, more likely to happen.
Trey Lance makes the playoffs or Broncos miss the playoffs. Broncos miss the playoffs. You said more likely to happen, right? More likely to happen.
Trey Lance makes the playoffs. Oh, my bad. Some more likely to happen. Trey Lance makes the playoffs.
What's your wish I was. I think you catch that. Oh, my goodness. Did he really catch that?
I think he did. Hold up. I'm out of the way. It happens so fast.
I can see if he got the second foot down. Oh, my God. Wait, so what's I was thinking behind Trey Lance? Sheldon, you know, no fucking way.
Damn, he did. Yeah, and they're right back in it. I think that Trey Lance, we've been hard on Trey Lance as a whole. A lot of people have.
They've been questioning them and coming at it pretty hard. I think it's TBD. I think we can see we're going to see what happens pretty quickly. I think it's going to take him a second to get acclimated.
But I don't see him being the detriment that everybody think because I was listening to somebody talk about it earlier today and they were saying how at one point last year, everybody was calling for Jimmy G to be replaced by Trey Lance. So if he struggles a little bit, is everybody going to ask for Jimmy G to come back and take his place? So I just don't understand it. But I think he deserves a shot.
And I think with this team, this is the best place for him to get that shot because you got to be some running game. You know, you got to be some receivers. He's athletic and you got to be defensive around him. So he has all the pieces to help him to be successful.
You got a great coach quarterback Whisper, according to many. So we don't see what he does. I'm putting my money on him though to at least have a solid season. I'm not saying he's going to be a pro-boiler, not like that.
But I think he'll be OK. I think he'll be OK. So this is a layered question, right? Because you talk about Trey Lance.
Trey Lance the talent, I believe in the talent. I think I like the kid at North Dakota State. I think he has the potential to be that guy. But the other aspect of this is the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan.
This is as much of a big test for Kyle Shanahan. Everybody basically annoys Kyle Shanahan as the second coming of Jesus when it comes to coaching. So people can believe he blew two Super Bowls. But he's the second coming of Jesus as a coach.
And he's the guy that more than anybody, because if y'all remember in the lead-up to that draft, there was a lot of discerning opinions in that. He believed the rumors. There was a lot of opinions in that room about who would take with that third spot, whether that be Matt Jones, whether that be Trey Lance. We ended up picking whoever.
And more than anybody, Kyle Shanahan was like, I can make this guy great. I know quarterbacks and I know that this guy's gonna be great. Well, if he doesn't turn out to be great, part of it obviously is a lot of it is on Trey Lance, but a lot of it is also on Kyle Shanahan. Like you're the quarterback whisperer.
You're the guy. So put this guy in the position to realize that potential, to utilize that talent. As far as what we've seen on the field, I think it's too early to tell because he's young and experiencing his plate a lot. That's the other thing about it too.
I mean, I think in two years, I think he's only played like three or four games in two years. Now part of that has been COVID messed up his last college season. And then last year he was working and he struggled in the Haggorapolo. But I said it in my DES 365 video a couple weeks, last week from time that the 49ers, I guess hesitant C to get rid of Jimmy Garoppolo would concern me if I'm in the Trey Lance camp.
Because if I'm a fan of the 49ers wanting to see more of Trey Lance, because I'm like, hold up. If the 49ers was so assured and so confident that Trey Lance is the guy, they would have discarded Jimmy Garoppolo yesterday. Like they would have gotten him five minutes ago. Now I get, you don't wanna get rid of an asset too soon.
You wanna get the best for that asset, especially the quarterback in this league. But the 49ers to me really, really like held on, like we're really possessed of the Jimmy Garoppolo. Almost to a point of like, are the 49ers out of the something here that we don't already know or don't we don't know that maybe Trey Lance isn't that guy? I'd be very interested to see what the opinions are in their front office and their coaching staff about Trey Lance.
Of course, probably they gonna say everything. They gonna say, oh, Trey Lance, guys, he's the greatest thing ever. He says, why's Brad Trey Lance is this? Trey Lance is that right?
Probably they got to. But privately, I wonder. Yes, true, that's true. The link to call in has been posted in the members only section.
So go there if you wanna come on and kick it with us for a hot sec or if you got a question or comment about anything. Yeah, just hit us up. So yeah, 10, seven game, two minutes to go. Buffalo came out blazing and all that momentum is just poof.
Football is so weird. Football is an interesting team for me to shoot too because I'm a big believer in adjusting from being the hunter to the hunted. You know what I mean? Buffalo to me this year comes in a position that they haven't been in a long time.
You can argue 30 years, right? Being a lot of people supervoked. That's a lot of pressure for franchise that doesn't have that expectation. You know, has that track record of being that type of team, right?
I didn't even know they were supervoked favorites until the starters telecast. That was crazy to hear that. Oh yeah, but there's a lot of people that Buffalo, a lot. You basically would see, if you believed everybody, all the Vegas and everybody, you would think that Buffalo is a pork on conclusion.
Buffalo should just start printing your Supervoked tickets now. Like, and I'm like, hey, you're a good team? But let's slow down. First one, AFC is stacked.
Number one, number two, I'm not believing that defense. And, you know, free, you know, McDermott in these big moments, in these big coaching situations, so far these careers left a lot to be desired. So, you know, Buffalo is an interesting team because how are they gonna deal with that pressure? You know, they're not, you know, and I think Sisley has an Sisley right where, you know, Sisley and Eddie caught a lot of people by surprise last year.
They were the lovable loser that struck gold and made it so soon, and blew it so well arguably. How are they gonna handle the pressure now of being everybody's picked up in the NFC North? The AFC North, I should say. And be that team that everybody expects to not only make the playoffs, but be a serious, well-attender.
I wanna see that. I like seeing that in different teams. Yeah, I don't know who blocked you, Tracy. That's kind of wild.
It wasn't us though. We hate that that happened to you. And Rachel, we gonna work on getting that merch for you for everybody, man. Yeah, I put that on my list.
It is on my list of things to do. I'll just move it up a little bit. That's why you got support, everything we do. You know what I mean?
That also helps, you know, subscribing, liking, resharing, retweeting all that stuff, man. That was all this stuff, coming from it. Yeah, I think we got somebody in the queue. I think it's Alice.
This is Alice Hayes. Yeah, oh man, I was expecting that. That's not right. I just saw him link and popped up to him.
I'm like, okay, so this is new to me. Yeah, I was listening. I'm just listening. What's up, what's up, Alice?
Yeah, hi, I'm on this. Chill it, man. I'm on my list. I'm on my list.
Yeah, that's what's up, that's what's up. I hate you to get in the lead, man. I dropped my email address in there, but I didn't hear from you. We had to go out and draft that day.
Hey, how's that? How's that? I'm just saying, what on the bridge? But yeah, I'll make sure you and Rachel on, y'all get a spot next year.
You know, so y'all go anywhere. But yeah, I got y'all next year. I reserve a spot for y'all and when the time comes, just remind me, because I'm old and I'll forget. But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I got y'all.
Yeah, so you watching the game, man? Can you got kids, obviously? I was doing my kids earlier, so now I'm about to do it. I was doing it also.
I was about to do it. No, I know how to go. No, I can't do it. We all do it, so cute.
Yeah. How many kids, Gravel? Five-year-old and four-year-old. Oh, wow.
I got six-year-old. I understand. So you go back to the boys? My brother.
My brother. You do it like that. Yeah, man. Yeah, go to the boys.
Yeah, go to the boys. Yeah, my brother. Yeah, my brother. Yeah, I get you.
So in regards to football, what are you looking at this year? I'm going to ask you, how do you get to the dance? So I already know the AFC is pretty stacked. I'm going to talk to you about some more.
I'm going to keep my sister kind of low because I'm a little worried about Lamar and his contract thing. I'm just very worried about that because it could be a deck press guy issue. I hope that it's a whole day of the case. What do you mean with a deck press guy issue?
What's that guy issue? What's that guy issue? What's that guy issue still for a time? What do you got injured?
Like middle reporter season? Oh, okay. I get what you say. He had the ankle injury and then they still sign.
Yeah. I got that like I feel like the more time like he better himself. I do know. I'm just hoping I'm back for it.
So I'm saying hoping I'm back for it. I mean, we can say about anything dealing with any player, you know what I mean? Especially quarterback, you know, one hit and one bad tackle, one bad sack, you know what I mean? They want to be injured.
You can say about any NFL player. I mean, listen, I think I think the Ravens are playing dangerous game by not getting this contract situation down with Lamar Jackson. Just me and Mar, when he's healthy, he's one of the 10, 12 best quarterbacks in the league. You know, those guys on growing trees.
So he's one of MVP. He's everything he packs up to do. So give him the contract. Okay.
I'm going to pay that much money for him. But like the whole argument about not paying the quarterback, whether you pay him now, all you're doing is delaying the inevitable. Hey, if you don't pay him, somebody else will and be all this other. If he comes out of this year, that number is going to go up and up and up.
So you might as well just get it down now and get it done for a bargain. Then if you wait a year or two and then all you always do is just add another 10 15 billion to that to that bottom line. No, we're a root team. We're a team.
Oh, that's a bad hack. Cool cup man, bro. Man, you hit him. He's probably scored on that.
He's wide open. That was a bad interception. Two, right. Josh Allen.
Josh Allen. Josh Allen. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. That's what I'm saying, man. This season is going to be so funny because we people make the same mistakes every single year betting on teams that don't do nothing, but because they had a good draft and they got some buzz kind of camp using their media and whatnot that it's like, oh, the dolphins are going to go to the playoffs or the charges are going to be so good this year. I mean, things think that could happen, but it's so funny how every season has those same tropes of falling forward, the full gold or the teams that you didn't see coming.
You know what I mean? I feel like every year there is a, what is the name of that Vikings QB that was, I played against the Eagles in the NSC Championship game three years ago, case Kingdom. Case Kingdom. I feel like every year there is a new iteration of case Kingdom than someone else's body.
It's just a new white man who's like, damn, he's playing this good. There's always one more of those stories every year. Like, wait, case Kingdom is doing that. So I think that that's what we're here for just a game and the same old stuff.
So it's going to be so funny to see it. I think he was on the Jets last year. What was that guy? White?
Was that him? Yeah, Mike White. Mike White. That was it.
Do I have a right? Yeah. That was okay. That was like, yeah, he's like, in case Kingdom went to an NMC Championship game, I got a case that Ryan Tannehill was him two, two seasons ago.
You know, that was right. Tannehill and then after him, it was somebody else. So I know, like, like, um, what is his name? Oh my God, what is his name?
I can't remember his name is the issue. Exactly. That's always one. That's the surprise team, the surprise narrative.
It's like, dude, why isn't trying to make Baker the surprises here? Yeah, maybe, but you right. There is always that one guy that pops up. And now you mentioned it.
I'm going to look for it. Everybody's just fucking here. He had a Tyler Hennigee. Didn't tell the Hennigee, like, you know what I mean?
That led him to playoffs and like, you know, Nick was on the, I think Nick was on the, uh, Hennigee. Like, it was like, he almost beat Tom Brady. Mm-hmm. I mean, it's like, it's always one more.
Yeah. If his Patrick is their common place, so Ryan's playing because I always go get this shot. If his Patrick is like a five-week honeymoon for every 10 years, it's like, yo, the books are three and two. But the Jettys, for the Jettys, he was a 16-week honeymoon.
He got us a 10 to five and then blew it in both worlds. Yeah. That was it. No.
For like, I'm telling you, normally, first, first five weeks, you'll be lovely. Ryan, we'll be right up. So we have this first time. Hey, man.
Y'all tell me, is it just me or does Matt Stafford make about two, he'll make two bon hood head plays on the track. So, no, they'll give you something good to get it first now. Yeah. But then he'll come back and do something crazy.
Is that just me? No, it's not just you. You know, that's just the facts. Matt Stafford is so frustrating because he's like, he's great.
He's really great. Yeah. And if you're mad, he's really bad. Like, there's no even between with him.
Right? Like, he's either really, really good or really, really bad. There's like no real, even to him. Like, most quarterbacks, most great quarterbacks, even when they play bad, they'll have moments where they're like, damn, Brady almost had it or Rodgers almost did this or, you know, this person would have it, but like, Stafford is either really good or really bad.
And it's just a matter of what day you catch him on and you just hope that. And he usually has more good days than bad days, but man, I'm bad at you. Really bad. Yeah.
That's crazy. Yeah. And I thought, I promise y'all, I thought it was that, and I'm like, like that throw we just saw him when he had Cooper cut across the middle. That throw was worse than Jimmy Bravo throws.
Like, what in the world was that? But then he'll come back and he'll, he'll, Cooper cut just on the line on the next plate. Like, well, side on throw. No look, man, something, you know, something great.
Yeah. It's just a nature of Matthew Stafford. He makes a bullshit throw. Don't make the standard issue like, that's the throw you gotta make, type of throw.
So let me ask, let me ask our guest one question real quick. We'll do another one of these more likely to happens. These are obviously just hypotheticals, just questions of just like, what would be more likely to happen in the world? Like, a football or sports or whatever, but for this one we'll do NFL.
So more likely to happen. Joe Burrow makes the AFC Championship game this year. He makes it to that game or the Steelers miss the playoffs. Hey, hey, can you play on the spot?
That AFC, the government itself and AFC North itself is a garlic. It's like, you know what I mean? I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say something to playoffs. I feel something more likely.
The reason I say that, I know that I'm gonna explain it to you. I'm like, man, my time with me. The man just finds ways to get it done, man. It's a bit, like, all right, you know what, I'm probably gonna defend, to basically a little bit, come a little slack.
Because I'm like, I mean, Duke, I pro-go, putting on his belt, you know, and I'm not saying popular nonsense. But the fact that he was under Matt and Aggie and still found a way to make it work somewhat, I gotta come to some standard for credit. I gotta give some credit. So it's almost like, it's just like a circuit be here.
Nobody crazy, but just a circuit be here. For this year, who knows? You know, really dice, but I'm gonna say still is more likely because, you know, I like Burrow. I like the Bengals, but man, I'm kind of with Nico, now my man, like the Bengals got it.
They just fizzed out of 500 with that schedule. They could. I can see that. And you said it right because, like you said, they're not catching anybody off guard this year.
It's a different atmosphere. It's a different feeling when you got teams going. So, why is there a hunting? Exactly.
It's just like, when it comes to a new season, the teams that really were the top dogs last year, it takes a great program. It takes a stable organization to consistently get back to greatness or get back to being in the mix constantly. Having that consistency is a pedigree within the South. A lot of teams should be proud of, but it's just for the AFC North, I'm looking to see if Trebiscuit and Kenny Pickett are even that close in terms of talent, they're probably gonna give it to Pickett.
But I just want to see if that's the defense holds up the same way that it did last year. It obviously started getting hurt towards the end of the year, but that's because they had such a dead weight on offense with Big Ben, that they had nobody who could move the ball for real. So, if Trebiscuit or Pickett can move the ball more than 20 yards, they should be able to do something this year. And I don't think it's far-fetched to see them get 10 wins, because they can get into a bunch of low scoring games.
And I think that they're due for a renaissance in how they move the chains a little bit. It was really Ben or bust with, you know what I mean, pause. So, I feel like it lasts like four or five seasons. There's no number fly rounds, and there's no number nine rounds in shit, right?
So, it's like, now I need to see if there could actually be a more accurate, in-between the numbers type of guy and Pickett. So, yeah. I agree with everything that you said there. I actually think the Steelers are getting one of my teams that I think are going to exceed expectations.
I don't know, a lot of people are really talking about the Steelers. I think they got the steal to draft in my opinion and George Pickett's. Like, that dude is a monster. You watch their mid-geus, you know that dude is a monster.
All of the things that you think with him is if you keep him, all you got to do is not case off the field. But if he just keeps his head on straight and he stays healthy, George Pickett is a beast. I like, can you pick it? So, he's personally the sooner they get to pick it, the better their season will be.
So, yeah, I think the Steelers are going to be a really good team. I actually think the Steelers might win that division. I'm looking at that too, man. They really got the head coach.
They actually won six-by-time. Time has never had a losing season. He knows how to coach. They have time to steal.
They got a really good running game. The defensive set. All they need is, and it's home over Ben Rothensberger. Literally, a guy can be two, three steps ahead of where Ben went.
Ben was in the gutter last year. He could do anything. He could do anything. And that's not the disrespect Ben's Hall of Fame career, because he's obviously what that guy for a long period of time over a decade.
But he just broke down. And over time, you just began to see that he could no longer hit the deep brows. Like, if y'all remember the 2014-15 seasons when they had Martipus Bryan and Tony Brown, that offense was humming. The lay down bell.
Incredible. And the other thing about it is the Steelers develop receivers, man. Historically, they've always drowned. They still get a lot of really good receivers.
All the way back to Hines Ward and what's this space? Plaxico. I'm not even going back to Steelheart. I'm talking about just Plaxico and Hines Ward and then obviously going AB.
And now they've got like four or five really good receivers now that can easily be the whole guy. I don't think a lot of people talk about the Steelers. And listen, they've made some of some of the Addison guys that O'Lan will see. That's their biggest weakness, even more so in the quarterback position.
O'Lan can hold up to the Steelers from the 10 years. O'Lan and linebacker is probably where they have their, like Devin Bush, he was supposed to be much greater because he was supposed to be the Ryan Shazier replacement. But immediately Devin Bush got hurt. His first season when he was with the Steelers.
I don't want to put the Nail and his career coffin with the Steelers yet. But when it comes to that guy like that, it didn't really just make a question of is he just coming back from injury? Is this like a two year thing? Or yada yada yada yada.
So we'll see. I'm really interested to see that whole division because Baltimore has something to say this year. They have to then be a play with injury for a whole season. The Bengals want to prove that we weren't flunks and we're flukes.
You have, you know, Sills want to just re-establish their culture. And you know, like, you have people saying that the Browns, I don't know. People saying that the Browns, they can just sneak by and get to a wild card. All they need to do is just get Watson in the lineup, put in the beat dangerous.
We'll see. That's the thing now. They got to, they got to wait. What up?
What's up with the evening gentlemen? Yo, bro. How you doing? What's up, man?
Watching this weird ass football game, man. It is the least like, bills come out. They look like everything we thought they were going to be. And since then, just seems like the Rams are starting to build up momentum.
Rams are still on vacation. That first half. Yeah, clearly. But still a whole half a football to go.
Two good teams. Let's have some fun with it. This is, I don't know if the bills have enough on offense. Really?
Do you know, do you know what the bills actually need? What was that? The bills need a formidable tight end. A real one.
Like a real, I don't know if Gabe Davis, he's like a wire receiver. Obviously he's not. But they did. Dawson, Knox is their guy.
He's, he's okay. He's not. He's cool. I was against Dawson Knox for a while.
But last year he sort of proved me wrong. So they're hoping he develops better. I think he's a sleeper. I just look at it like this.
I hope that all the bills in my view are going to come up to me. You don't know who's about to bounce. You don't want to build every minute. You're right.
But at the end of the day, I do no names when it comes to guys like George Kittle and you know what I'm saying? Like Waller and you know what I mean? And I just think, you know, Kelsey, the, just one of the pre, one of the pre-men of things that every QB needs and nowadays, if you're trying to be really a great QB, is you need a great tight end. I think that that's kind of become like the, you know, great point guard, great small forward of the NFL, you know what I mean?
Like combination. Like, you got to have, you know, point guards with the big name. Or you have a point guard with a small forward. I think you got to have a quarterback with either a dominant wide receiver like the, like the Vonta Adams or Julio and Matt Ryan when they were in their prime.
But you still got to have your tight end. Even look back on those Matt Ryan teams that should have did something great. You got to do like Tony Gonzalez. If you look at, you know, Seattle as much as he was terrible by the time you got there, Jimmy Graham, they saw the formula, Gronk with Brady.
So I don't know if the bills have that guy yet to make digs, even as Adrian says, he needs to be. You know what I mean? Because I feel like digs is, okay, under utilized a little bit in this offense, even though he is the main guy, I think that they could get more out of him. Not saying that they don't use him, but I think that the impact of when they use him could be increased if they got a guy that can, you know, take the middle away like Kelsey does in Kansas City.
Because it made Tyreek more, you know, say explosive, you know. But Q, I think what we're thinking here is maybe at number two receiver to sort of take away pressure from Dave's because Buffalo's never really had that really established number two either. But maybe Dave Davis could be that guy. As for the tight ends, I mean, there's not 32 Travis Kelsey's, Darren Waller's, George Kittle's.
So you basically just have to find a guy that can help give something your offense really doesn't have. And I think Knox can sort of develop into that. Like I could see him as a guy maybe six, seven hundred yards, but maybe get you ten touchdowns. If he's that red zone threat, that's what Buffalo needs.
I think that's where they need him to maximize their offense. I think Gossyn Oks is okay. Is he operational on note, but I think he's that next year, tight end. Yeah, like that next middle group of tight end, he's there.
Honestly, I think Buffalo from my assessment, I'm a Jets fan. So take that for which you will. I hate Buffalo, but is looking at it as a journalist. Um, um, Sir.
Uh, I think the issue I see with Buffalo, I think part of it, I think they tried to address this off season, bringing him popular. I think the biggest weakness that team had is a pass rusher or an eager pass rusher. And hopefully one fills that knee for them. The other thing I think they need is a strong running game.
I don't love their running game. Devin's like, okay, he's not great. But he's not great. Now people obviously, we all know that the running back position in a lot of ways is coming to value.
You can win with an average running back. I think for them and their offense, especially when it gets cold and Buffalo, especially if they try to have it on field advantage to take some of that pressure away from Josh Allen, having a strong solid running game. I think what do you want to do for them? And I don't think they have that.
They got a lot of guys at the running back position, but they don't have big guy. So that's, that's what I think is the thing that's holding them back from being like, okay, Buffalo is ready to. Just. Oh, sorry.
No, I'm saying. Go ahead. I was saying sometimes Buffalo's issue is not sticking to the running game because you'll see, still military in some games, you'll have like 10 carries for 53 yards. It's like, okay, you're averaging five yards a carry.
Why aren't you giving him more? But it seems they rely on Josh Allen for their running game, which is cool and all, but do you want him for the next 10 years or do you want him for the next five? Very true. That's a that's a byproduct of them maybe not believing in their running backs.
Possibly. You know, so I think they probably feel like, hey, Josh, I'm probably our best running back, which is saying something. Yeah, but then you got to go and make the effort to get that guy that and Buffalo never done that. They're going to get the.
Let's also be like aware of the fact that even the guy like Andy Reed, you know, he probably did not want to cut Korean hunt because he knew that Patrick Mahon was needed running gay. He needed running and he needed a legitimate running back as much as we say that. Oh, well, you can, you know, kind of just turn the, you know, turn the wheels and come up with running back number 3508. You know, I mean, just a random.
You know what I mean? I think that it's yeah, you're right. It's like, it's like a misnomer for how the league really really goes just because a position has been devalued. Doesn't mean that there are not certain types of running styles for backs that certain teams need.
Like I don't see, like I see, I see that the single Terriers more so like he's like a mild standards type. You know what I mean? Like I don't see them being. Yes.
I don't see Derek Henry obviously is on one. But I don't even see that ilk of a Nazi Harris on Buffalo. Like, you know what I mean? Like where's where's that guy at that?
And get the power of power yards. You know what I mean? I need that from the, from the, from the, from the, from the, I think that that I really believe that Allen needs a safety blanket. Like that's just so every titan needs it.
Like, you know, that had what's his name for, like at least four seasons. Yeah, they said, when Ben had he's Miller, like, I think it's just certain things are true. Yeah. Well, what I mean about the value, I mean, like the way you structure a team or you build a evaluation of the running contracts.
You're not going to pay a running back. What you're paying? D.V. He's like their shelf life is so slow.
