20220516 - Liberty Minute

from Liberty Lighthouse Hosted by Peter Serefine

The office of the President could gain new powers. I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced the “Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act,” which would grant Biden the power to “issue an emergency energy declaration making it unlawful to increase gas and home energy prices in an exploitative and excessive way…" Rather than reverse the failed energy policies of the political left, the speaker wants to grant new "emergency powers" to the President. Over the past two years, We The People have seen how the government abuses emergency powers. Would anyone be surprised if a president were to use new emergency power to further cripple the energy industry for the sake of their green energy movement? We need limits to the existing emergency powers and more checks and balances. Find more news and commentary at Liberty-Lighthouse.com Until tomorrow, si vis Pacem, Para Bellum.
