20220531 - Liberty Minute
from Liberty Lighthouse · host Peter Serefine
Gun control laws do not stop shootings. I'm Peter Serefine with today's Liberty Minute. There were 11 mass shootings over Memorial Day weekend this year. At least seven were killed and 49 injured by these mass shooters. A total of 38 people were shot this weekend in Chicago. Seven people were also shot in New York City. Those two cities have some of the strictest gun laws in our country, yet they consistently have shootings atop their news headlines. Yes, shootings also happen in places like Texas with fewer gun restrictions, but that is exactly my point. Tough gun laws have no effect on criminals, just like drug laws have not stopped overdose deaths. If shootings are going to happen with or without gun restrictions, I'd rather have the option to protect myself from criminals by carrying my own firearm. Find more news and commentary at Liberty-Lighthouse.com Until tomorrow, si vis Pacem, Para Bellum.
