Phantom is a community where individuals can come together and enjoy different sources of media. Phantom is something that has been a huge part of my life since an early age. After being a part of Phantom's for so long, it becomes something more. It becomes a safe place and almost a second home.

It's human nature to want to connect with others, and it's even more common to want to do this with people who share similar interests. There's something so special about finding others that share your interest and are willing to talk about it. It creates a sense of safety and comfort. That's the power of fandom.

The power to create a community from one person's idea is so touching and amazing. To me, it's a safe place where people can share their creativity. People can get very creative when it comes to fandom. They share art, share their love of media with others.

It amazes me how about the end of the day all this came from one person. One person had an idea to share with the world that became a movie or a book. From there, people fell in love with it and its characters. That love is what leads to everything happening in Fandoms.

The fan art, the fan fiction, the fan edits, the cosplays, all out of love for a media source. The chair on top is we do it together. We don't leave people out because we have all been left out for being nerds. Now we stand together as nerds to share the love of a media with each other.

Nerd culture isn't always the most accepted thing. People can see it as weird or strange, and what people don't understand they judge. As someone who participates in multiple nerdy media sources, it's not a shock I've been judged before. Many people who enjoy the same things as me also face judgement.

That's why our fandoms are so important. They give us that judgement for each other to enjoy. We finally have other people to talk with. That's what fandom means to me.

A place to share things that you love and to truly be yourself with other people who also want to do the same things as you. That's why fandom is so important.
