Seeing people as human beings separate from their governments is a humanitarian practice many find challenging in times of war. Releasing stereotypes and searching for the humanity in the other side is hard work. Our faith calls us to practice it in our families, friendships, neighborhoods, communities, and even politics. We might not solve world peace, but we can love the person in front of us.
