I need to get a lighter here. Well, good night, Rob. Good night, Rob. The replay will be available.
Tell me he going to bed. Because Canadians do go to sleep early on, so. Rob, no, he'll sleep. Yep.
Man, hey, I hear you, Rob. I hear you. Luca got his numbers, as he always will. But he had a pretty bad turn over that pretty much put the game away.
And at this point, I have no worries with Jason Tatum. I don't think his teammates have no worries. Yeah. Yeah, that was a, you talked about say, by momentum from your team, Jason Tatum is one of the luckiest dudes on the planet right now.
Man, I swear it. Yeah, let's go ahead and get started, man. This is the place where sports opinions go out there in sports. I am one of your hosts tonight.
Can you be in? Joining me, I got to show them Jay. I'm not riding solo tonight. What's happening?
What up? What up? Tweets over door. I do not think this is going to be a sweep.
Dallas will play better when they go home. Oh, yeah. Others will be much more relaxed. They'll be comfortable.
They'll be in their beds and stuff like that. Yes. They should definitely, they should definitely get a game. Like, so I went over at what we saw.
But we can, game one, we typically throw those out, right? Most fill out games, game two and three are where you kind of really start to see the teams, you know, play these little different chess moves and really know each other. And we saw that tonight. You know, Dallas came out hot.
I didn't get a chance to catch first quarter because I was at the studio and I thought I could watch up there. But I'm all damn here. So, but I saw Dallas was up early, 13 something. And Kyle mentioned that they were going to play more aggressive than they did.
I think by the time I got home, it was self-dissoped up by one or two. And one of the key stats in the first half was where it was a three point shooting and they were up in the game, missing three. So it didn't really spell, it wasn't a good look for Dallas. And, and Donkich was doing all the work.
And, and yeah, just kind of at some point, he was going to reverse it to me. But I think one of the things that I noticed, Shelton, is when I caught up on everything that was going on, I looked at the bot score. It was tape. He had only made one shot.
He was making these goofy ass turnovers and, and all kind of other stuff. And, and I'll give him credit. He was making a SIS. I think he had six or seven assists.
Yeah. Or five is no, I think he had six or five by the time I turned it on. He got up to seven. So he was going to easily get a double double at least.
But, but I can't wait it for the moment, man. And, you know, it was a true holiday show in the first half. And I think, and, but Tatum's going to have to show up, bro. Like he's going to have to show up.
They will need him. And if, if he is that guy, then everybody's been swear he is. I know he's at moments. I know he's put up 50 point 50 piece and losing efforts and this, that another button.
We judge players and we'll probably have a deeper conversation Tuesday in these series, in these moments. And, and he tries, but he didn't come through. But nevertheless, the Celtics won and they managed to win the game. And they were still playing their brand of basketball.
And at some point, those three's were going to start falling. And they started hitting some key threes when they needed it. But what was it? Something they were up by?
Well, 13. Yeah, 12. Miles went on a nine old run, Tatum tried to drive through who got blocked. Took a jumper, missed that.
And who came to the rescue? He said no. Oh man. Tatum got hung on that dunk.
I thought I was like, man, this is not this is not your time, bro. He may be watching the news and media too and can see. Oh, yeah. What up, Nick?
What's going on? But yeah, I was saying in the first in the first quarter, Dallas could have been up with these in the first quarter. Poor free throw student in the first half. And a lack of self awareness on defense.
They got into foul trouble early in boss was in the penalty. Free throw shooting in the first half is what separated the two teams. Matter of fact, in the whole game, if you look at it and break it down, free throw shooting and just poor execution is the difference in the series. So I'm not I'm not shocked at the outcome.
But like you said, Tatum, Tatum is going to have to have a moment in this in this in this series. You don't have to otherwise be out of time. Yeah, I mean, he did other things. And yeah, he forced to turn over on Kyrie.
But so what? Like, what was he? Did he get that block like Eric, like, and I was a great play. He had to do something he wasn't doing.
She knows. Right. Yeah. Yeah.
They should know Kyrie is not going to get a pass in our chat. I was saying it the whole time. I don't know if Kyrie is I don't know what's going on, Kyrie. It's the ball around.
It's whenever he played it's whenever he played Boston. It's like the ghost, the racism, it's guarding him more than anything. Yeah, it's, you know, he legit like watching these playoffs is like you think like this is you would think this is like a first round series, by the way. He playing because like right now he would have thought like he he's been cooking all the playoffs and then all of a sudden now he played Boston.
It's like he don't even want to play. He's nervous playing well in the playoffs. He always showed up against Minnesota because of Ant Edwards. What up?
Well, I was. I was somebody with what up with that. Right. I was going on.
You pass your bedtime tonight. My boy. Was that was that. Counts.
Tell the people about it. I'm the guy to get paid. I'm going for something. I mean, he hadn't shown up yet.
I'm waiting on him to show up. I feel like I feel like this is like I feel like Tatum is somebody that we keep we keep talking about him like he's done something that we are like trying to remind ourselves like he can still do that. When we look back at his career, he's never done anything. He would have come to the big moments and Jalen Brown consistently shows up and says to Tom for this team whenever he's coming down to them getting the dub or them needing something some type of spark.
He does it does it early does it often? Yeah. Um, and I think that just take it. I think I think I think Tatum does it.
I think it's not in the moments where we want him to do it. Like we're still waiting. Well, here's the thing. That sounded like another two.
You know what I mean? Yeah. He made he had games where he carried. I mean, he was in MVP discussion, but at the bigger moments, like he just seems to disappear or he just kind of seems to float in these games.
I understand it because this has been it's not just this particular series. It's been his career. His career. And that's why I say like he he's he's been consistently inconsistent in his whole career when it comes to that next level, not him being like he's an all-star.
He's top 10 in the league. I think we know that, but it's kind of like we talk about Paul George. Somebody meant I think I was listening to somebody and it was mentioning like he's basically he's more Paul George than anybody else where it's just like he has seems like he has all the time in the world. It seems like he models his game more off the Paul George and Kobe and he just gets you those results to where it's like he he's still doing his thing on a defensive end.
I mean, we we've seen some highlight plays from him, but at the same time, it's like it's all over the double. Yeah, but it's also like I you never impressed this one. I'm saying you never come away impressed. Like this is the this is one of the best dudes in the league.
Type ship. Like it's always just more of like he he's a contributor to a team. That's he's definitely contributed. He's definitely contributed.
He benefits from the fact that he has four other guys out there on the floor. We have it all times that can make plays and at different times in these games, it's been a different person that stepped up for Boston and made a difference. And out of those two sometimes out of those five, he's the least of those. I was very impressed with who I drew all day played a heck of a game on both day.
Drew Holliday drew how they may be finals MVP. If you play the round, you know, we know we know the round is bigger brown is bigger brown is people who holiday. I'm saying like moving forward can like the way he played tonight. That was that was you got to catch up.
You got to catch up. You got to catch up. I forget 22. How much did JB have this game between?
That's like 41. He's 21. He had my points. He had my points and rebounds, but in the big moments, we talked about you know, we watched in the rounds.
It's lead the team on both ends of the floor and Derek White played good. The all they every piece of the game. Derek White did not play good. He did.
He did. Derek White had a decent game on both ends of the floor. Yeah, 18. And he had a couple of key stops.
He was in there speaking his nose in there a couple of times. So he's saying that they have key contributors at different times and step up. Different points of the game. Everybody has made a it's like a chance move and it's been working in their favor.
Were you guys surprised that Boston pulled his name out that they were able to win this game? No, I'm not surprised. No. Yeah.
And I said it early before I could say I'm flip-flop or anything. But I have Boston winning the series because I feel like people just forgot that they're a very dominant team when they want to be. It's the times that the reason why people don't believe them is because they've been already so close so many times and they just haven't got over the hump. But they're a very dominant team.
I think for me, the surprising thing is that they can guard. They don't, the best thing about that team, they don't have to switch or they don't have to double. They could just switch. They got so many people you could just switch with.
Like that's throwing off Dallas. Well, let's just do that when those guys aren't finishing at the trail. And it's not finishing at the world. That lob is not there.
And then you got PJ Washington out there shooting threes. The other guy, there are other bigs. You know, they have pretty much been nonexistent. And I mean, again, it's easy to say, okay, look, go ahead and get your 33 to 35.
If Kyrie's going to shoot two for 57. So I mean, like it, no. I ain't like that. I was like, somebody took his, what was that off of the space jam?
What'd they take? Yeah, that's it. His little son. You know what I mean?
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I mean, I know this press conference the other day.
He was like, yeah, I haven't reamomped since I left. I mean, that's not something that a player of his caliber, I think she should even be bringing up in a press conference. Now if a reporter asks you that and you'd be like, well, now, you know, I played on different teams. You can find a politically correct way to say it.
I think I don't even know if the booze have gotten to him. But tonight, man, he just started out aggressive. And he just kind of started getting past him as the game went on. And I know that in the previous series, you know, against Minnesota, he kind of he didn't start off well in any of the games, but he picked it up as he as a game went along.
And he was able to close out against this team. team, you can't afford to do that because, you know, if they're letting their big take jumpers and stuff like that and you're saying, okay, well, hey, we're going to give these guys these open shots and then I make no shots, you got to put up some points. He's just, he's not aggressive enough. And I know that they're throwing different bodies at him and everything like that.
But that couple with the fact that as well as Lucas played, look almost had a quadruple double because he almost had double digitinals. You know, his turnovers have been terrible. There's turnovers have been terrible tonight. And tonight he was really bad at the ball and you can't afford to turn the ball over like that against a team like Boston.
And, and even though I called him out of the chat and said, who the hell told him that he should be on this stage, Josh had a good quote when he said that this was the game that Dallas should have won. Boston would shoot less than 30% or 29% from three. Tatum was off. As we say, as usual, but Tatum was off.
You were really getting that much from poor Zingas this game like you did game one. Like it was just like, this was a game that they could win. And then even at the end, like the end was super close. Like it was much closer when people were thought it was going to be because Boston took their foot off the gas because they thought they already had the game wrapped up.
But this, this should have been like, it probably even scores 20, 25. And this is a whole different, you know, you go back to Dallas, maybe tied up. Yeah. Like, so it's just, I don't know, I don't know where Dallas, I mean, home cooking, like the series could turn.
I mean, we've seen that happen before, but so far, like the mood has been like, they've been getting smothered by Boston defense. Right? That defense is like, we thought Minnesota had a great defense coming into the, to like the latter part of these playoffs, but Boston man, how the one thing I noticed is that they stick to their game plan. And what I mean by that is the night they were 10 or 39 from three, 25%.
I don't know if you're really going to get, you may get one other game like that, but they will reverse back towards the mean. And Dallas was at 23%. The difference, of course, was the freedom line for Dallas and 95% for Boston and turnovers. It was those internals that they, like how I was saying, like, you look back at it.
I mean, it's about that last scenario, like when it was like four minutes left in the game, most of it's like Dallas is up, I think I mean, Boston's up by like five. And then Luca has that lazy turnover, trying to throw the ball up the court. If they keep, if they keep the ball and score in that position, now you're down three with less than like two or three minutes left to go. I mean, like, you're still in that game.
And so it's just like, you can't keep this ain't, you know, this, you're not playing against Cleveland. You know what I'm saying? This is the Boston's else. Like they are here in the finals for a reason.
And you just can't keep shooting yourself in the foot. And I mean, like, you know, like I said, getting 16 from Kyrie. I'm looking at the boss. Well, now lively got you to you got 13 from Gafford Jones gave you 11.
But you know, you're going to need more from PJ Washington. Obviously, Luca's going to do what he's going to do. But Kyrie has to play better. This I'm what I'm thinking is I'm interested to see how well Kyrie plays at home.
You already know the role players from Dallas are going to play well at home. What's going to be the key, I think in this game is I think Brown is going to show up in Dallas will take them short. That's the question I have. I gave up on the table.
I've been trying to tell people about a table for you. Well, more so that Brown is the brown is the leader. You saw all the Mike, the Mike up moments, this Brown talking to the team. They sell it.
They lean into this. So Brown is the leader. And he can fuck around. And I mean, he already gave paid the most in the NBA right now.
So it's just like from when you look at the money from the from just the eyeball test, it looks like this is Brown's team. Yeah, he's more comfortable in that role. It just seems like he's comfortable doing that. He's a brilliant guy.
Anyway, the news is rock the scientist, but you can tell he's got that leadership ability more so than table. So I would look towards him off leadership that I would say to me anyway. But like you said, it's going to be important to see how aggressive Kyrie is. He normally starts games slow anyway, but we don't need him to start fast in this game if they have any chance to turn this into a series.
But I think he will. I think he's going to step up and play well. I just about Kyrie. And yeah, I can't get nervous.
I got to think. One is Brown is that smart. You'll get his hair braided differently than when he got in there to. I hold a wheel that is there.
But to somebody, somebody to Kyrie shows up like I did these first two games in Dallas for game three. Somebody goes like, take them down shoes off. I got a question for y'all. Somebody mentioned a few minutes ago.
Has this been I know it's only been two games, but what's it has been good exciting basketball? I mean, like I feel like coming off the conference finals, this it feels like a letdown. And I thought this was I did pick Dallas in a series and I don't think the series is over by any stretch of imagination. But I don't feel like we look we've seen two really good games.
Like tonight, there were points in time was real sloppy. Has this been y'all tell me has this been good basketball? No, it has not. And like I said, it's been it's been ugly partially because of Boston's defense because they've been all over attacking on the floor.
But you know, it's been sloppy basketball. Missing pre-growth is ridiculous. All the turnovers, you know, I think they had 18 turnovers, 10 for Boston. Just just it's been sloppy basketball.
We talked about four players. We talked about that at the beginning of the series, how it was four names that was going to stand out in the series. We've only gotten true. Well, to be honest, none of them have really been just to the point where we've been blown away, lights out, finals, worthy moments.
We haven't seen the finals moment really yet. So it's saying that it's not been good basketball. We haven't seen nothing that we're going to carry over and be showing highlights of 10 years from now. Nothing we haven't seen that yet.
To me going into like after that Denver Minnesota series, I was like, that's the finals right there. Like, you're not going to get a better series than that moving forward. So like, I've never and then like, you look at these two franchises like no one outside of Dallas, somebody gives a fuck about them and so they don't really have a big fan base. And then everybody hates Boston period.
So it's just kind of like, no one's really kind of even excited to watch these these two franchises go at it. Now, Lucas is a good piece because he's the international piece and he's the white boy that's coming to save the NBA. But as great as he looked in this game in certain times, he's not he's like, he's close to getting swept then to then anything else. And if Boston wins, then we're just going to be like, okay, whatever we go, we'll walk.
Yeah, we won't be talking about this three years from now. Two months from now, you're right. You know, other than the fact there's really no storylines other than the leader of the team talked that we've been getting in. But there's really no kind of kind, Kyrie being hated by Boston.
But even that's kind of like I said, until he steps up six a dagger in him, you ain't gonna get much much excitement from this. But I do think we're gonna have a home at some point. I really do. I think this is gonna be more of a series than it shows so far.
I don't know. They lose game three in Dallas, but that's right. I don't even know if you're talking about this whole play. But like we said, they should have won this game.
If you look at certain things, it was only this game was a few free throws and a few less turnovers away from being a totally different story. Now, I say, you got to do what I'm saying is these two teams are not as far apart as we is a two old suite. I don't know, I think they might be. I think they might be.
I don't know. That was you. We'll get the answer in game three. But Nick, I tried that.
Very good questions. I listened to the podcast. That's why I was hot because I was just kept talking about that. I was like, bro, what the fuck is Dallas done?
They be an OKC team and they be tired as Minnesota team. That's it. That's the one that's the one that's the one that's the one that's the one that's the one that's going to the West of God was eating because everybody thought that everybody was going to say like we played everything played out the way you kind of was supposed to, but you just we're more shocked that Dallas even made it here. And then we're just riding in on the headlines of that because of Luca.
You take Luca's name and his the head of soda that's trying to put him on. You take that out of this. Like, bro, he hasn't done anything that makes you think that we know I should have went into the finals thing and that's what I'm trying to say because if you look at the whole playoff run, they got the deepest squad in the NBA. It's just like who's on the bench?
They got for Zingas coming off the bench. Nobody in Dallas is reporting for Zingas down the level coming off the bench. And if we are just like, I know, Sheldon, you said they should have won his game, but it's helped us play awful, bro. That first half, that wasn't really their game.
That wasn't what we've seen, at least what I've seen watching them in the playoffs and they were trending in the game. Luca had 23. He had nine the rest of the game and they were losing and mainly because honestly, the Celtics were not hitting the three corners. So, the Celtics played their game.
They just didn't hit their shots. I don't know what else Dallas has to go to outside of home court advantage. So we'll see what kid has up to sleep next. But to answer your question, I think it's pretty much a little bit of what I expected.
I'm really looking for, like I like what Brown is doing at times in this game. Barry White thought he was the second best player on the team, but some of the shots he would take it. But he does that. That's how they play.
I'm really honestly, we'll talk about it more too, but I'm really waiting for it. I'm just waiting for it. And I hope it happened. I think, yeah, it's there.
He's way too good to be playing this bad. We'll just grant that part on six before we get that. That's a good feeling. Laura Hill go perform.
Yeah, yeah, he's stadium before we get that vote. I'm trying to tell you that's shipping sale. Like I think it's going to happen. I think it's going to happen.
Two wins without saying. I think it's going to happen. It could or probably should happen in Dallas because that's what we say. Well, even if that even if Dallas wins, I think Tatum still has to show up.
He's got to be lights out because you can't he's put up two stinkers pretty much. You know, I mean, like they tried to address it on the telecast and try. Oh, yeah, we made a hustle play. No, you haven't been if you're the best player.
You haven't shown it. You just have. He's number two. He's given you number two sats number two effort.
That's all he's doing. He's doing shit. Oh, you can do this. We can't do this.
We talk about four players and it's really just been about two players. Really, it would be an honest Brown and Luca. That's it. 100% Yeah.
And those and those and to be honest, those two have not been so they have not been so separate from the from the crowd as you'd like to see. There's not been even with the way Brown is played, which he's been, you know, the number one guy in this whole series. He's still not hitting shoulders above number two because game one was a poor things game game two was through all day game. It's really been kind of like, yeah, that's how good the self is also.
Yeah, definitely. It's just you looking at a dominant team is kind of like, yeah, they don't have a flaw. Where's the flaw in the Celtics when they all click? They're not even clicking and you don't really like imagine if they hit the free.
I mean, they hit 50% of their three point shots. This is a boom. Tatum is. Well, how do you feel about?
Yeah, I know. I'm always looking at the coaches. How you feel about mozzarella? His game plan going in these.
He called a really good time out in this game. No, that's just a kid. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
I don't want you talking about you. Right. Don't tell me. Um, I'm too.
I'm too. I'm too. Joe Joe's who called a good time out a couple times to, you know, to stop Dallas runs and it kind of got his team back on track and he kept them. The good thing about what they're doing in Boston is they're staying with the game plan.
There's no altering it. And you're seeing a lot of open shots from Boston players. That means they're executing at a high level. When you see as many open shots, they're making a lot of open shots and those 10, I think, in the 12, six, and no easier.
I will say that Dallas gets open shots too, which is that you're relying on PJ Washington and Derek Jones and who else is there? Those guys, they're not somebody who's going to step up right now. They're going to step up in Dallas. And then the Celtics, they just got all the great white boys that you can get to play else at this point.
So that's why they hitting Dallas don't know what to do. Yeah. The coach for the Celtics, he hasn't had a chance. He hasn't had to make any adjustments.
He hasn't. No, no, no, yet. Kid is the one that's happened to adjust to the Celtics. And so we haven't had to really see him coach.
And we'll see if they can do that in game three, you know, kid, kid, maybe out of tricks too. Because I mean, if you think about all those series that he went through just to get to the finals, it's kind of like, like how many other more adjustments can you make? I mean, he adjusted Timbules, you just okay, see, didn't they play the Clippers? It was just kind of like those, that was a gauntlet pathway to kind of get through to get to this.
And he fights in arguably the second or first best defensive team in the league with two budding young stars. It's just like, I don't really know what does Jason kid do? Because if he if they don't get the switches that they want or the double teams that want to open up these shots, how do you how do you create for PJ Washington? How do you create for their jobs?
Well, Luke has some great assets tonight. That's when he threw the eksum, bro. That's crazy. He does, but it's just at the same time, it's a million dollar move to the shot.
If it breaks and they and and holiday or wider dignity the other way. That's what I'm saying is just like, I'm what I think part of it is they got a better well, I think we make this right down on turnovers. I mean, and Lucas got to cut down on it for somebody who has the ball as much as he does. You can't have eight turnovers.
I don't care what you mean. That negates the 11 assists, you got, you know what I'm saying? And they got to do it. They got to shoot better from the free throw line.
I mean, 66% from the free throw line. You can't shoot like I mean, they call them free throws for a reason. As far as as far as your question about, you know, what they need to do as far as like what kid could do differently. I'm not sure I'm going to find out because here's the thing Dallas you mentioned.
Okay, see earlier, Dallas matched up better with okay, see, you know what I'm saying? They matched up even better with the Timberwolves because they got the bigs and everything like that. Maybe just maybe it's not a good matchup, particularly down low because you know, Stars gonna be stars. It's about your others.
You know, Derek Jones Jr, Kenny Step out in guard Al Hofer, Kenny Step out in guard up with things. You know, those are the matchups that we're gonna be looking at. For Zingas, I don't know if for Zingas gonna be any good come game three because he looked real bad tonight on that, you know, on that bad leg. He'll have some time to kind of, but yeah, he got it.
He's like, you know, we'll see, we'll see what the match. Yeah, for Zingas might help him out. Yeah, for Zingas out there might help out with the game tonight, but at least in the score. And then neither.
Yeah, they got to Wednesday, see what for Zingas is about. Yeah, he said that was quite a good one. Three point, but either way, I have a goal, man. It was, it was very quiet.
Yep. Well, I don't even know we had 12. He came in, he came in, and he was making shots immediately. He did what he always does.
But like I said, he went down and you didn't see much after that. But yeah, he got him early. I saw him get him. Yeah, and yeah, I think who said that.
Yeah, KB had a pretty good block in SOTD, Darry White and JB as well as which should have been a file. He got home. He got home on the rim. He played it off like he got blocked.
Because he clicked right on the rim. He wasn't going nowhere in this. He heard him footsteps. He was scared.
Shout out to P.J. watching on P.J. P.J. was really aggressive.
For what? He was playing for the Hornets. He was trying to give him a quick one. Because he was saying, because he participated in the reaction.
No, he played. He actually played decent though. He didn't have a bad game. Come on, he played for the moment.
No, I play better, but he started to give me a, who's that guy on the Suns? I was going to say he played more like Eddie Murphy from the P.J. No, I was watching that game. I think it was all his all his shots.
No, bro. Justifies his space on the court. He missed all of them. He was better tonight.
He just starting to fill himself a little bit too much. Yeah, he came in when he was on that live talking about some from the hell to heaven. That was your baby mama said. You can't say that until you win the title.
Yeah. All right. Well, let's get ready to get out of here. I got some super man, Ray Sean, bro.
What are you doing? I got to stand on principle, bro. How good? No, what was you going to say?
He's a Trump member's chat. He's been a member for 27 months. Well, I think he trolling me, man, with his Trump endorsement, talking about go vote. What you got?
Last question I got is like, so that they up to go back to going to Dallas. Is this if they sweet Dallas, let's just say they sweet Dallas, Boston, sweet Dallas. How are we looking at Dallas? How are we looking at Luca after this series?
Because my Wednesday night, we could be talking about like, all right, let's just because we'll play again maybe Saturday. I would like to have a conversation if they're down three. Oh, and here's why I say that. Remember, sons, bucks, sons were up to all right.
And they didn't win another game as series. Same thing with the maths against the heat back at 06. Yeah. Yeah.
So yes, it's not time to have that conversation. Boston did what they're supposed to do. They went on, right? Can they?
They are good role team. Really, really good role team. But Boston has a bad home record, though. That's the thing.
Like going into the series, like I was more, I picked Boston and seven because I expected Dallas to win this game because they always, I knew they was going to lose game one because they always give up game one. But I thought they were going to win game two because Boston doesn't really have a great home record. And they've been losing a lot of game tools in the playoffs this season. But the fact that they are too old, they never do games.
No, I'm saying home record in the playoffs. I'm saying like the loss they had were game two, I think. So it's just like, usually like when they, when they dominate game one, I feel like they take their foot off the gas. They never took their foot off the gas towards the end of this game.
But I'm thinking like, I'm already thinking ahead because I'm thinking like, they win game three. Nation pointed out Boston is going to be doing the road. Like, I don't know how, I don't know how, I mean, can Kyrie do a four game? Hey, if I recall back for for a second, I read it.
Hey, we had to bend the knee to Kyrie. But I'm just saying like if Luke against swept in the finals, oh yeah, we I don't want to hit any game anymore as far as being a habits of a Bronco. Yeah, I was saying you can't. But not he but he that was that was a that was a baby.
He had he had me pile and show them. Yeah, if you got a But you can't do that though because he does have Kyrie. You got to show up. Did LeBron took Booby Gibson and Anderson verage now to the fucking finals.
But nobody's saying that Luke is LeBron, but you still got to talk about it. I mean, you like you said he went to a gauntlet to get where he is. So you can't just bypass the fact that they they played all those tough teams to get there and you can't bypass the fact that Kyrie is looked like Boo Boo this whole time. No, no, no, no, because like this is why I brought up the expectations changes when you get to these levels, right?
That's why I brought up that question on Tuesday about the Minnesota is a disappointment of the Fed. It's like, yeah, it was because our expectations changed once they got passed Denver. I want going off our expectation that we had when they from the playoffs first started because of course we didn't even expect them to get passed Denver. But when they did, it's all right.
Now we all get you differently. The Mavs got passed Timmables and now we looked at them differently. Yeah, I'm looking at this and they get swept. He'll get one game.
No, man. You'll succeed. You can't look at them differently. I mean, you know what I'm saying is you got to break it down according to how he plays.
Now he keeps trying to ball over like this and we have to go. No, I break it down. I break it down. No, I break it down.
I break it down on what the stage is. This is the finals. We come. We great everybody hard on the finals.
I don't give a fuck who you are. Well, you got to keep this in mind. Nick, like none of us predicted Dallas to even be here. So I think you got to give them some some props for even getting here because I don't think anybody would have told us that Dallas would have been in the finals.
You know, when the playoffs started, nobody predicted that they make it this far. So they're playing with house money. You know, they still have a legit shot to win. But even if they get swept, I don't think that's a I don't think that's an indictment on.
I don't think that's an indictment. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that.
If look, a play like Kyrie was playing in this different world. Yeah, but I can just get credit. Okay. I can just get credit because he coaches as a he coaches as a would be like what has gotten to the fine that's different from what we've seen before.
We went by the same. That'll mean he'll be the same way. I looked at him the same way I looked at K.D. when they took that.
Okay. See team to the finals and they lost four ones in Miami. He when he averaged like 30 plus like 32 plus something like that. No one said shit.
He was like, okay, they're young and they may come they would expect him to come back and then shit happened after that. That's what I'm saying. And we were looking at Katie differently ever since that finals run in okay. So to me, it's just like we got to keep the same energy.
That's all I'm trying to say. I'll be trying to give these little participation trophies to these tickets. But not fuck all that. If he gets swept, my thing is more about him getting swept.
I mean, I don't mind if I'm picking the win. So I'm not saying I'm gonna go out on the way. I'm saying the way you lose. Like you got to trust you at home.
Adam Silver won't allow him to get swept. They won't. They won't. I was gonna say this to me.
Just guess it was that rough that they call in to pick Scott Foster. Scott Foster's gonna be calling Kyrie. Scott Foster's gonna be a kid. Scott Foster's gonna be a kid.
Scott Foster's game three. Yeah. Yes. It could happen.
Boston is really good. And they're really good on the road. But I think I suspect I think they should at least get one. This was the greatest, this was the greatest back quarter of all time.
You're telling me they can't do all of all time. One of the greatest go all of all time. You can't be saying all of that. I agree with that.
I agree with that. Good run. Fuck all that shit. No, no, no, no, not good run.
It's just yeah, I'm just waiting for the finals over Nick. Right. Real quick. Rachel back more often.
Appreciate it. I'm obviously. Um, Kev. Yeah, Kev.
I think clearly a Boston fan because he's been capable of them a lot. I said last show, this is the first series looking at Kyrie. I actually have to defend every possession. Both are low gas and four quarters so far.
Yeah. But she's got really bad gas. The first one was starting and Lucas condition always comes up. Lucas condition always comes up when we get to these moments because he because when you look at him and he looked like the gingerbread man in a dollar jersey, it's like, all right, you could have you could have shaved away coming into this later on in the second half of the season.
Yeah. Last one, we young member for 15 must appreciate it. Substance with 12 and over without Jenna Brown this season and he doesn't always show up 2023. He's covers finals.
He average 19 on 41% shooting, 60% three point shooting and 60% free throw shooting. He gets past when he gets past when he's made. I called him out. Yeah.
I just agree with that. I think everybody called him out plus the fact that they say it's supposed to be the man. That's the reason why you called it more often. Well, first of all, we're talking about his team.
When you say the NBA, we say his feet, he the man on his feet outside of that. We'll talk about J. Lebron, these other conversations. You know, when you'll fuck about this, this post, like, okay, that's that's fine for his thing.
He the best player. Right. So but he's he's changing the narrative. The narrative changes definitely.
So even kid tried to throw that out there, but you know, kid, though, he can't just see Gary. He'll know what to do. He'll say Chris, that's the best player. Derek White.
Derek White. He was like, he don't know what to do. He don't know how to coach against this. This mirror cat.
He got on the other side. It's a really, you know, what to do. They're Christian. All right.
Yeah. Yeah. He's a Christian. Why are you stupid?
Well, the prayers are working so far. I definitely worked for a friendship, but I can leave you over prayer. Let's see it went in. Yeah.
Why did you come to the corner? Why he went from the camera's ready to go back to Dallas? You know, the hell I just went. Yep.
Yep. Yep. All right. Well, we'll be back Wednesday.
There'll be a stream Wednesday after the game three and it might be fired if Dallas down about three. So I'm gonna bring I'm gonna have a white flag with the kid. If they lose it, if Dallas in game three, if Dallas don't get that weird, it's a must-win. It's just a season on the line right now.
Yeah. I agree with you on the show. If I really doesn't score more than 20, I'll be shot. I'll be shot.
All right. Well, we'll catch you guys next time we got peace. Peace. Yeah, for real.
Hey, um.
