Admittedly, there are times when my gratitude seems stale. Sometimes, they are stale because my intentionality wanes, and other times, I am so overwhelmed by the sheer goodness of our triune God that I cannot find the words. No matter the reason, our thanksgivings are flat; the antidote is Scripture: "It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High; 2 To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, And Thy faithfulness by night,…" Psalm 92:1-2 "We give thanks to Thee, O God, we give thanks, For Thy name is near; Men declare Thy wondrous works." Psalm 75:1 "Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name."
