Welcome back to Five Minute Fantasy Football. In this episode we preview the 2024 Pittsburgh Steelers. An offseason recap of the coaching changes and the free agency moves. To help guide the discussion I have ESPN's NFL Projections via Mike Clay. For fantasy football purposes I have the underdog season long player props as well as Sleeper ADP. It's not always whether or not you like the player, but what is the average draft position or cost. Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Football Preview: Offseason Recap, 2024 Projections & Current ADP The biggest changes here are the offensive coordinator and the quarterback. Kenny Pickett is out and the team brings in Justin Fields and Russell Wilson. Arthur Smith takes over and brings a run heavy approach to Pittsburgh. Smith has been successful with rushing quarterbacks like Justin Fields in the past. A player they might not have thought they could acquire so cheap and fits the offense really well. I am not playing for second place, I would draft Fields over Wilson. We know Arthur Smith wants to run the damn ball, so both running backs are in play here. I like Jaylen Warren over Najee Harris. He is the more explosive back by any measure you can find. Warren is more dynamic in the passing game and receptions are worth more than carries in fantasy football. George Pickens is the only show in town, but still has a reasonable average draft position. The same could be said for Pat Freiermuth. If Muth is healthy all season, there is a 0% chance he doesn't finish as a top-12 tight end. This offense is not very sexy or exciting, but there is a lot of fantasy football value to be had. We look at the season long projections for each player, using underdog fantasy. Mike Clay's projections were extremely close to the Sleeper ADP. This offense compared the Cincinnati Bengals is very interesting. Fantasy points being funneled through the Running Backs and Tight End, Cincy is the opposite.
