When the tale begins, a visitor to Potters Bluff is brutally beaten, while dozens of townsfolk film the massacre. Then the battered man is tied to a tree and set ablaze. And this is just the beginning – the first in a series of gruesome murders that lead sheriff Dan Gillis (Farentino) on a fascinating odyssey into the intricasies of voodooism. Who is the voodoo master who must cut out the hearts of his victims and hide them to retain control? Who is the demented mind that has reincarnated bodies long Dead & Buried?
