This is the place where sports fans can live. Dennis for some of you all is going to be joining me. We have Nick. What's going on?
FIFA, Shelton, and Spike. What up, though? Thank you guys once again tuning in. And if you guys are new around here, because we got some new folks that has started to pop up.
Welcome to the show. If you're watching this, I could have bad. You can catch us live every Tuesday at 9 PM. So tonight we are talking about our top 10 wide receivers for 2024.
We heard from the producer that the list of fire. And we can't wait for you guys to see them. Apparently, judging by reactions on social, people have been feeling some kind of weight when everybody's been posting it. And yeah, so yeah, man, as usual, we're going to keep this name rolling.
But before we do that, we definitely have some other news that we need to address. Pre-season has kicked off. We got to look ahead for the Olympics. And also talk about this as a sombratic situation that's going on, so I'm sure we have new news regarding that, that we're going to have to update with on today.
So let's start with games. Games are actually being played. They don't really matter yet. This is what?
The second week of pre-season, the second first week. This is the second week. Second week, OK. Second week of pre-season.
So nobody's really out there. And we've already had some casualties. So you see why people don't play players. But yeah, man, of NFL pre-season officially kicked off last week.
And we got to see rookies. Got to see the rookies get some live action reps. In the pre-game show, before we kick things off, you guys were talking about a couple of rookies. So now is the time to officially discuss them.
Any rookie standouts that y'all want to shout out. I want to start with you, people. And then I'll start out to the hometown team where I was born and raised, partially raised. Chicago, Caleb Williams came out with all of the pressure.
With all of the questions is he, this, is he, that, is he the next coming to Patrick Mahomes? You know what I'm saying? And I think that you saw the flashes. We know that he has proven veteran talent around him that would help him through the process.
And I think that Chicago finally got their franchise QB. He looks special. You know what I'm saying? How special?
He's still a rookie. I think he'll flash. I think he'll be, he'll have bouts of inconsistency. But the thing that we saw is that he's a baller.
He's surrounded around ballers. So I think that they're going to make some noise this year. So shout out, Caleb Williams. What are you guys?
What about this fight? I think Michael Pinnock's doing it look good. Being local here in H.E. They hyped him up a lot, seen a lot of the previews.
He played the majority of the snaps since Kirk Cousins. I think it still hurt from whatever injury that he had before he came to the Falcons. But I think Pinnock's is going to be good for a long time. He was continuing what he did in Washington, putting the ball where it needed to be.
He's going to have a lot of offensive weapons. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point doing this season, there was a question as to who's going to be the start quarterback versus him and Kirk Cousins. Pinnock's really good. I'm going to name some random ass eagle.
I definitely going to name one Queen Y'all Mitchell. Queen Y'all Mitchell, the eagle first round pick at corner has really, really, Sean Brighton, he's played multiple positions. He switched between outside corner and nickel, and he's been going against the Bontae and AJ at a movie throughout camp. And show us some rave reviews for him.
He's got to learn how to catch the ball. Make sure you're speaking. Is that the white one? That's the black one.
The white one has a hamstring. Cooper the gene has a hamstring injury. So he's missed three weeks. So he's just now starting camp.
Now you're going to move him around to the Queen Y'all and start it. He's starting in the slot. And he's playing well. Oh, that was that was that was a long one here, man.
Nick, I think I got on you. Nick, I was just talking about Jermaine Burton, but I'm going to go out to another player that makes surprise y'all. Bo Nix, Bo Nix had an interesting debut, even though he should be honestly the default QB because that quarterback room is Gabbage. But now he did he did he played well and Sean Payton.
He's on watch for me. So that's why I'm going to be paying public close attention to these Broncos to see if Bo Nix was worth the top 15 will top 12 draft that he got slotted for. But he came out and he played good. He played well.
So there's that. I also got to give some load of JJ McCartney. You know, he had a horrible pick. He came back.
Well, you cross him off because he got to talk to him. Yeah, no, I'm just saying I'm showing him low as far as like he didn't even shit the day. Because I didn't think he was the top 10 pick, but he looked like it, I guess, after that interception. So it's just unfortunate.
I mean, granted, he wasn't supposed to start anyway. It was going to be Sam Dorna for first year games. So he got some time to come back, but those are the ones that kind of like I was OK. I didn't expect that.
Martin McFly, you're right. I completely forgot about Joe Milton. Joe Milton is not going to get their start and drag made. They're not going to give it to him, but Joe Milton has been flashy.
He's showing off more than just that cannon arm. He has showed much more improvement than a lot of people thought even probably even New England, they were prepared for him to come in and play well off the bat like he has. He showed mobility. He's really, really good.
So shout out to Joe Milton. I don't know what they're going to do with him, but they got to call him a set. Right. But they're going to go second.
Sorry. Yeah, you know what I'm going to say? Sorry. Well, they don't they don't have them either backup and have Drake May probably the third quarterback listed just so that Jacoby doing shitty they can just go to Milton instead of Drake May.
I don't think they can do that. Nick with the way you're playing just based off the fact that you don't want to per cousin or what it may be a reference situation. You really got to you really got to go with Drake May if something happens to you need to go with Drake May as soon as possible to do that. They said I disagree.
I just think Drake may have cut out though. I don't know if he played the whole season. That's why I'm talking about him being prepared. I think that when Warsaw get if they played Jacoby Bursett, if he does well, they can use him as a trade as a because they won't drink made of that guy.
But I do think that Milton is going to maybe good enough if some happen to per se, but they can put him out there and teams will warn him and then they'll see what I'm doing. Get some draft capital from. See, they ain't got nothing to lose. They really don't make it.
Not enough. Right. Yeah. Promising on defense, but that office needs to work.
Javon Baker is another. I know we named a lot of work. Javon Baker, a wide receiver that is in New England that they're giving him some good looks. So it's Jalen Polk got about him.
He made a play today. But they got they got you know, they got some talent there and you got to get the job here with the coach said, what's the name right now? Jamon Mayo. Mayo.
Mayo said, if you fight in practice, if you're if you're a veteran, your punishment will be you play the whole next preseason game. If you're a rookie, you won't play at all. So the punishment for that, not just the rich, but the new first player, if you fight in practice, because he said you can't fight in a game. So how you fight in these joint practices, if you fight in practice, you're going to play the whole preseason game.
And if you if you're a first player, you won't see any action at all. That's pretty that's pretty stupid. Yeah. He was a lacquer.
I'm already doing it. Yeah. It makes no sense. Yeah, that makes no sense at all.
Preseason is for him to evaluate talent, bro. Like I was like, you trying to initiate punishment? Like that makes no sense. That's no.
No, bro. I don't want I don't want some player that already plays from you playing the whole preseason game. And I've already evaluated him over having many games he's laid in. And some rookie not getting the chance because they got to fight in practice.
And now I can't make a proper valuation. That's that's done. But with the fine. That's why he's going to be in New England for two years.
He's fired. That's exactly what I just think with the fines that they're living for these fights and all of the extra degree. He don't got to fight in fines though, bro. Like that's something Robin.
Like he don't he's he's doing too much. Like he ain't got to pay the fines. It ain't up to him. Like that's on Rob.
He should care. People fight in practice. No, it happens. Like this is a thing football.
I don't know why he's trying to act like he don't notice. Like like if we open doors, say we crazy that Drake may is going to play. I highly doubt it. I don't think Drake may makes the field of season.
Hey, well, please. Please, you're right. I don't think that they're I don't think he's ready to play. And I don't think that they want to put him out there with such a bad team.
Like you're honest, because I all of the Ricky Cubies taking in that first round Drake may have played the least amount of snaps. And the other point that you may that I also agree with, which is why I think they will hold him back this season is that team is ready. You know what I'm saying? I think Joe is more ready and capable right now because of his mobility to survive a season, you know, saying, not saying that Drake may.
I don't think Drake may is a bus, you know, saying just yet, you know, he hasn't had his opportunity, but this is not a situation where you're going to be successful right now, because this is as bad if not worse. Who's the quarterback for Alabama that they just drafted a couple of years ago? Yeah, man. You know, like this could be another major situation.
If you put Drake may out there too early, you know what I'm saying? So I don't think they do that right now. I think it goes to Jacobi. And if he struggles or something happens, he gets hurt.
You got to go to Joe. Absolutely not. Y'all are dead wrong with that, because there's no way you could put another rookie up over your guy that you drafted. Because what that says to me is that your evaluation room is completely wrong.
Y'all don't know what y'all doing. And you grab this man high. This man has to get on the field before another rip. That doesn't mean you got to start them.
That's what I'm saying. But you can't bring him in. You can't bring him in before you bring him the other group. I'm playing with house money.
I'm playing with house money if I'm the Patriots, but I'm Milton is someone that I could put out that I didn't draft high and he is someone if he does well, then that's draft capital for me. I still won't drag me to be my quarterback. I just don't need him. I just don't need him to play.
But that's not the message that you sent to the team and to the fan. The fans see Joe Bill playing well. They're like, they're gonna be like, we won't jump the guy quarterback. That's quarterback.
That's the question. But it's before you. You can't. You can't.
I was on Sal's I was on Sal's. I was on the go back to him. I don't say so. I don't see how AQ can be played well with that team.
So it's kind of just like I think I think it's been shown that if a QB sits for a year, we think Jordan loves it for three. We're in and it was behind Aaron Rodgers, but I'm just saying like a QB can still be picking the first round to sit. She had he sat behind Alex Smith. You can sit.
You can sit. You just can't sit behind another Ricky. That's why you can put a Ricky in front of that. So why is he third quarterback?
Who? Treige. He ain't third behind. He's third behind.
I'm in. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in.
I'm in. I'm in. He's not behind. He can be third.
He can be behind Joe Milton. There's no way you can put him behind Joe Milton. If you do, that's saying you made a mistake. That's the message you're saying to your owner and to your team.
That's not true. Yeah. I don't think you made a mistake. That's not true.
Yeah. That's me. That's me. He need more time.
Right. So he needs more time. Why? Why?
Why? Why? Why? Why would I throw him out there with a bad team?
Why would I do that? Because he drafted. I have no investigation. But I drafted him to put out there with the best team that I could put out.
So if he has to wait another year, that's fine. I'll throw Joe Milton out there because that was a late round pick. And it's draft capital for me. If he does well, now I can trade him because then we want it in.
We don't want him. We won't drink me. Drake made me send him an event like Joe and love has been doing for the last ever two, three years. We would rather have that.
I'm not throwing. I'm not throwing Drake made out in the fire before he's ready. But I don't care if Joe Milton go out there. That means nothing to me.
That's never happened. Give me a situation where Ricky played before another Ricky. Well, I mean, has this has been a situation ever before? That's right.
No, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know that anyone has ever taken two rookies and then one being potential playing before the person. Now, we see it.
And the one thing you know, no, wait, wait, it's not the same thing, though. Washington took Robert Virginia to start. They didn't take her cousins to play. Same thing here.
And what's this? Because they didn't take Joe Milton to play Joe Milton. This is our play. This is our competition.
So they didn't work right, but they didn't take Drake made a play either. They took him as a future French I scored a bit. No, I don't mean he don't be playing in the next two three years. If Drake made was not even do that.
The only team that took somebody with the intention of fashion and was the having a problem. Every other team expected these guys to get on the field at some point. Either this year or this year. I don't know.
I don't think it was your next. Right now, I don't know. Two years. I don't think they all think the English section right may play within the next two years.
Absolutely. You don't have a guy that's no last two years. You cover the percent is a stop gap teacher to get Drake made ready this year. If Drake made can't play this year, they don't have a guy for they're not wasting the whole season.
That's not the point. You got a guy if you got a guy like like Kirk Cousins, for example, you can afford to sit him down when Patrick Mahomes said he sat behind a guy that was capable starter, not a stop yet. So you got a starter started, then you're okay. But you got to stop that kind of guy.
You're not sitting like that. There's no reason to do that. I think we're seeing still the same thing. Even if it's this year, if something happens to Jacobi, it would be Milton because they expect percent to be there the whole year.
They don't they at no point this year expect may to be the core of it. Yes, I do. I promise. I mean, when he was drafted, he was drafted to start.
Drake made was looked at the one of those guys that was starting. So it was these guys were drafted to be starters. They weren't going to be back up. None of those guys came away and came in and started.
Now, like I said, they didn't want to potential. Potential. That's not as this year. No, no, no, that's still this year.
I plan for this year. They didn't come across the same thing. They were going to get these guys in. And none of these guys were looked at like we don't fashion.
You didn't have an Aaron Rodgers situation. Aaron Rodgers is there. You can catch a guy. Kirk Cousins is there.
You can catch a guy. You don't have a long term start a long time start in front of these guys. And then with Bo Nick's, Bo Nick's is going to play. He may not play this year.
He's going to play. I mean, I played for starting the year. He got to. He got to.
Can't you anybody send out to you? Well, y'all really have a discussion about Joe Wilson? Like I can find a question about Drake making. I said about Joe Wilson, but it's Drake made versus Joe Wilton.
And we start over home, right? It's if Drake May is going to play this season. My thing is who is Joe Milton making all these plays over? Right.
And he's preseason games. I mean, that's everybody though. Everybody playing second, third straight. Right.
So what happens when the real guys get out there? Like, no, that's the same. No, that's the same. If something happens to Jacobi Bursett, Joe Milton would be the call over Drake May because we don't want to ruin Drake May's progress.
We don't want him in a terrible situation. Stepping in for Jacobi Bursett. We would rather have it be Joe Milton because he was a later round draft. That's my argument.
That's what I'm saying. Wow. What do you mean? I think it says, bro.
Oh, I'm not putting Drake may anywhere near this stinky ass New England team this year. I ain't like, there's no way to drink. Maybe play if I were the coach of New England. I would mayo.
There's no way he plays. What round was Joe Miss. Well, they could fit for the six round of things. OK, good luck with that.
Anyway, um, now I think the thing is what I'm hearing is that I think people when you guys mission it, they might be right back in a Mac Jones situation where they just evaluated the guy. I believe in the guy that just ain't the guy. So that's what they're gonna have to contend with. So, um, but no, I think I think Jayden Day was the one that I was I was surprised to see get a lot of height for what he what he did.
People seem to be impressed with him with his first possession. But again, a lot of this is is early, but you know, these are early evaluations based on what we've seen because a lot of the guys we're playing in scrimmage is seven on seven against all kind of people. So what is it like we can go and feel you got against real game speed and you have to make decisions quick. So, um, so yeah, Jayden Day was because I didn't I mean, I know he had a great college season, but I mean, I didn't know if he was going to translate sometimes I stuff on translate when you're a guy like him, that's just athletic.
And you actually have to read the field and make quick decisions. And, um, and Nick, you mentioned the man I was I was again, like taking with the brain and talk, but it looked like Jay McArthur was ready to prove Spike wrong. He was about ready to go out there and light it up. Yeah.
I mean, I said what I said real quick though, before you get to Jay McArthur, the reason that I say this about Drake, may is because of what you guys are saying about, um, what's the Alabama quarterback name? Yeah. Make Jones. They don't want to put him out there too quick like they did back Jones.
So we don't care if we put Joe Milton out there this year and we go one and whatever or two and whatever or three or whatever. It's fine. He's gonna be the one taking the hits. We don't drink.
We don't want Drake made doing that. If you're the Patriots because of what just happened to make John, that's what I'm saying. Do you think that if Mac Jones, who actually had, I mean, he did leave him to the playoffs, he actually did have a fairly decent season when he just fell apart and a lot of that can be blamed on Bill Bell, which is decision making with the coordinator C hard. So that could have led to his downfall.
My question to you is, do you think if he would have sat two or three years, he would have been a different guy? Yes. I do. I do.
And I think the same thing for Drake. But I don't think they care about Joe Milton and there's no reason they shoot it. It was a fifth round pit. We'll throw him out here now.
He's good, cool. We can trade it. I think with going on to JJ, I think they got Kirk Cousins, Jr. That's what I think they got.
He's gonna look good a lot of days. I mean, but when you count, I don't know. If you do, he's in the biggest of games. He won an actual championship.
He did the same thing. She'll get through. He had to ball off to somebody who will take it out. We all watched that championship game.
It was that he had about five throws that I remember. And most of the most exciting thing was decided about a run game in the defense. OK, that can be very weak. We like we won is when it matters.
So, you know, we'll see. So interesting. And wasn't it another rookie that got hurt? Wasn't it another one?
Oh, yeah, you said Malik, Malik, neighbors guy. Yeah, he did. He's gonna be OK, you know, I think it's it. And Jamar, Jamir Gibbs is out for the year, right?
Is that good for you? No, no, I don't know what the whole year. I don't know. He missed it several weeks.
I think it's everybody right now saying several weeks, whenever there's injuries, like they don't want to say in time table. So it's not ACO? I didn't see. I don't know if there's an update.
I didn't see. No, there's not. They say it's hamstrings, but I see. Well, I don't think being truthful because they wasn't truthful about Ami Raw.
So, you know, I don't have that much integrity with the Detroit Lions disclosing injury. But there was a lot of mixed reporting last night in regards to what happened to Jamir Gibbs. So hopefully he's back and they need them. If they're gonna make the type of push that they want.
Well, do the Jets need Hasan Reddy because this fool is out here making free demands before even playing a snap with team or even showing up to team. We briefly discussed it last night of people's shelter. Do we have any updates on what's going on? And just for people that are not aware, let me run through this real quick.
Hasan Reddy has requested a trade from the Jets. New York insists that they won't deal the two time pro-volar. We talked about 10 plus sacks for the last couple of seasons. And it basically comes down to this and why he's requested the trade.
So the Jets allowed Bryce up to leave and free agency after he recorded 10 sacks last year for the team and move forward with trading for Reddy without a new deal in place. The Jets never claimed they never laid a new offer on a long term deal. It's this because they were born by Reddy's representative that he will play under his current contract. However, Reddy's camp will leave.
The Jets will offer a deal and trust it that it would be done by training camp. And apparently it has not been done. So who is right and wrong in this situation? The Jets or Hasan Reddy?
You said what has to be this? Because they're the ones that pulled the trigger. They're the ones that were missing for them. They're the ones historically that have been a bad organization.
So at the end of the day, this looks bad. Just add to the pile of crap that's just put out there for all these many of years. This is just the latest pile of crap. It looks bad, Ken.
It looks bad. It looks like whoever's running the Jets is incompetent because when you pull off a move like this, those details are ironed out. And this type of back and forth between player and organization shouldn't be public in the way that it is. These type of things, even if there's a misunderstanding, the professional way is to hand away behind closed doors.
The fact that Hasan has to go out and make this known just says it just reeks of mismanagement. You know what I'm saying? And again, this is not the first time that we've seen the Jets just look at the whole air Rogers saying, okay, the Jets weren't such disarray that when they got air Rogers, they allowed air Rogers to go get the OC. How has that worked out for them?
We don't know. Yeah, but this is the same guy that we saw in Denver. And I know what I said after week one, but they didn't go for it when they had Russell Wilson. I said, get this heckle to bite of here.
You don't know what he doing. But that's a guy. Aaron Rogers wanted a you a badge. I've got a question about best.
He got two MVPs under that guy. And that guy, when you're talking about the guy has a coach. Where's the coordinator? And Russ, Russ has been trash.
He's seen that Russ has been trash. I was, he left Seattle. So all I know is that Aaron Rodgers, what I'll do respect is not Tom Brady. He's not Tom Brady.
He's not having homes. Um, not Aaron Rodgers is great, but let's be honest with him. Look, he's not as great as those two and those two, um, you know, the two goats of the whole for them, but Aaron Rodgers is on that level of them. He just is not accomplishing as much.
So somebody that hasn't accomplished as much, you're going to come up with that type of power respect. Now get out of here. The Jets have mismanaged a whole bunch of BS. And this is just the latest BS.
I'll say this before you take, you take Tom Brady and Pat my home's name out there. Aaron Rodgers is better than 90% of the day. I'm here to you. And you know that.
Okay. I don't disagree there, but would you also agree based on that statement that Aaron Rodgers has under performed through his career? If you're talking about from championships, yes, but you just talk about him as a quarterback. No, I have a point about, you know, your, your greatness is based on winning.
And he's only one of the big dance ones. You talking about quarterbacks in general, just him. Cause there's other quarterbacks that we just go to. Great, great, great quarterbacks that we're talking about are on the same level.
Talent wise is Pat Mahomes and Tom Brady. Because I agree after Aaron Rodgers is boo. It compares into what we talked about what we see on the field and the hardware that they have. He's boo, we talk to Kirk Cousin guys.
Right. So Aaron Rodgers is on that level from a quarterback perspective that he's under performed as a career. I don't know. Oh, no.
People gave a lot of praise to my staff after he won that ring. That was the only day stuff for him winning that ring. But we, but we're not putting him on the same level as Pat Mahomes and Tom Brady for a reason because he doesn't have the same talent level. Aaron Rodgers does.
Aaron Rodgers in all honesty, let's be honest, he has more talent than Tom Brady. Tom Brady is a better winner. Tom Brady, you know, luckily had arguably the best coach of all time, but at the same time, Tom Brady had to go out there and that field. That's not already.
He has 100% but Tom Brady said had to go out there performing. He has a lot of hardware, the most hard word out of anybody. And he has less talent than Aaron Rodgers. So why has it Aaron Rodgers has been able to have at least half the success that Tom Brady has had?
Or even half the success that Pat Mahomes has had? I think that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's another conversation. Yeah. But look at my McCarthy's record.
Like Michael is in chop soup. I know it's open for you. So I know it's open for you. It's like when you look at his his record, Michael McCarthy is right.
Like he is above the frame. He might be right. But he's above the frame. I don't think so much.
I think so much. That ain't saying he's above the fray. And Aaron Rodgers is a very talented quarterback. So they should have won more Super Bowls.
Like when you're talking about Andy reading, you're talking about Patrick Mahomes. You're talking about two of the best ever did it. So it makes sense that him and Aaron Rodgers, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers only won one. It makes sense.
But you you can feel that Andrew wasn't that guy when he got to Kansas. So he got to Patrick Mahomes. So he found someone who was who matched his NFL like Acumen as far as being able to win. But McCarthy, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers, it's not a match in the sense of neither one.
Like both of them are very good at what they do with their night. They don't have that next level, which is the reason that Mike McCarthy hasn't signed an extension in Dallas. Like he's a cool OC. He's not the person that's going to get you to the next level.
He's not the person that can help Aaron Rodgers win two, three, four championships. That he's just not he's not that. And if Aaron Rodgers doesn't have that, then he's not going to do it. So I think both of them match each other as far as the potential of what they were able to do.
But at the end of the day, digressing back to the original question, the Jets messed this up. This is not on a song ready. I'm going, if everything is true, what you really can. I may have to I may have to say this may be on a song ready.
Because I only say this because they brought they brought his representation into it. And this is making me question. Because like you gave us some background, you said that his son didn't want to leave Philly, but he wanted to get paid, right? Yeah.
So he left Billy. He's one to leave a championship team or content and team to go to get paid. And he was he got traded to the Jets. I don't know if it was agreed upon, but regardless from it seems like they were his camp and the Jets camp were in communication up until that trade.
The miscommunication should never be on any any point fingers should I be on your camp when it comes to you getting paid. So the fact that we play a Spider-Man right now, the Spider-Man mean, as far as the organization, they can't, I'm going with the camp. Because as a player, I'm like, bro, what the fuck is going on? We had we had a we had a verbal or whatever type of understand about this between us.
Now I'm trying to get paid. And now I got to recreate a request to how does this song ready to get paid after this? He's going to have to show to the Jets. He's going to have to show to the Jets.
Because he can't he can't go back to Philly. He goes like somebody will pay him, but Nick. And at the end of the day, look, look, just like just it just said, it's just said, you're not going to trade him. OK, that's what the Jets say right now.
But at the end of the day, you talked about representation representation. Don't get paid unless the player get paid. So then where's to the Why? No leverage.
So we're going to have no leverage, bro. You already said that you would come here and you would play because you thought we would pay you. Now we're saying you're not you're having no leverage. You can't ask for another trade, bro.
But he's the finest made money to anything to look at him like a fire cell. It's like, oh, well, we know he ain't going to play for y'all. We're going to give him the absolute least amount that we can give him and give him to play for us. He had a bad position right here.
Well, the conundrum comes in the fact that I think and I saw somebody say this and I kind of agreed that he over estimated his value. He's asking for an extraordinary amount of money to come and play football. He's making I found out he's making 15 this year's when he's making. He's already paid a million dollars in time.
But this dude is asking for 25 and that's a little high price. He's not saying it's not told it's a high, but when you're asking for that amount of money, if you trade him for another team, that other team has to have an agreement. Like before you go, they're not going to trade for him. If he got a river, we're not going through this again.
He did not want to leave Philly. It wasn't they gave him Philly gave him all of your member, but they gave him the right to go seek out a trade. He didn't want to do that. He said he didn't even ask for that.
But they said, well, we said we said, so go. And to me, that's when I go back at Reddit because it's like, like you mentioned, Shelton, for back to back years from the time they went to Super Bowl till now, he's had double digit sex in a league where pass rush and quarterback are tattooed. You know what I'm saying? They come before I receive it.
They come then they're becoming for offensive lineman. So that's a premium. They're Philly. He slid that up in a Philly.
They slid back up in slip. And then he go to the next job asking for the same type of bread and they like, do you know where we like we don't have no relationship with you? You ain't done shit for us. He was a raise after he got fired.
I honestly think that how would you please them dudes, man? How do they don't like a fool? But because I was like, I'm treating for this man and I know what the disagreement is where he is. He's the he and he want to be in Philly.
Every day, he was like, I want out of field. Then we got something to talk about. But if it's about contract, why would I bring him in here knowing that he's asking for a number that I don't want to pay? Like it didn't make it didn't make sense.
If I know I don't like before I trade for you, what's your number? But doesn't tell me why I bring it. So where's that miscommunity? I don't understand.
That's what I'm saying. Like, right. I don't understand how. Jets, they pulled the trigger.
They pulled the trigger. Look, look, what Spike said that has no leverage because players don't pull the trigger on trade. They make the man's and when they're happens or not, it's not 100% on the player. It's on the organization's involved in the Jets organization based off of their history.
We can deduce that they are trash. But to your point, I'm not I'm not I'm not shooting bail for the Jets. I'm just saying the clarity doesn't make sense to me because if there was communication talks with, if the Jets are saying we talked to his camp, his camp said that he was going to play on the remaining other's contract and then we could talk about being paid next all season. When we get there, are we assuming that the Jets just made that up and they just because it doesn't make sense for them to trade for him?
And I'm not going to play if you don't say like either they're that stupid or Hassan ready fucked up. That could be that stupid though. Nick, another thing I'll say is because I'm looking at it and I'm telling you what, what stood out to me with early on, Rob, it's out of no guys will say we didn't talk to him. So they kept saying we had heard from this man, you know, and this was early on.
And I'm like, man, you know, you make a trade first thing you're going to do is, you know, teammates going to hit him up, you know, the coach going to hit him up and say we look forward to having you here. There's this introductory conference, press conference. We do it all the stuff. Why haven't you all talked to the man since the press got like what happened?
Well, my thing is this Robert Saller don't really got the best track record for talking to his players because they're right. It's too much to that podium. I was saying the guy even though I was playing this. That's a right.
So I think it seems like this is a GM thing. So I'm going to keep it up to the front office. I'm just saying that as a player who is trying to get your whole point of getting paid this off season, that was his whole point that he has failed miserably. And I got to put that on your representation because he talked to his representation for sure at everybody and said, Nico, this is paid.
This is paid year. Fuck whatever team I got to be on. I'm trying to get paid. Right.
How does that miss? How does that get misconstrued with you doing? You're literally moving from one seat to the next. And then you're talking about some I want to trade.
Like Ken said, you ain't even stepping the fucking you ain't got a key car. And you're talking about getting a trade when you got a key car. Like you ain't got to Jersey printed out and you say I want out like because because my people resound to your people. Y'all said, I bet bring them in.
We need to pass rush. Everything sounded copistatic. And at the moment I said, hey, you know, what a money. Y'all was like, no, we ain't talking about no money.
Nick, Nick, Nick, look, bro, at the end of the day, I don't understand how you could put it on Hassan's people when Hassan's people don't get paid for. So don't get a as I'm asking you this question. What's more like, what makes you would have built one through though? Yeah.
If I'm talking if I'm a science agent and I'm talking to the Jets, I have to assure the Jets some type of like he's going to play. If this deal goes through more money, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, this is like this is a lot like real estate. If I have a client and we make an offer, even if their offer is trashed, I have to present it to my client. My client either accepts or declines.
So as my representation talking to the Jets, I tell you, hey, we got to get paid. Everything that Nick said, this is money here. If all I don't care what team, we got to get paid. And you know what, I talk to the Jets.
They said I bet they're willing to trade for you. They want to, you know what I'm saying? They may not be 25, but they might do like the 20, the 20 something I bet. Make it work.
OK, so we get to the Jets. Wait, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, real quick. You think that he, the Jets told him we're going to play like you're going to play and we ain't going to pay you that you think that happened? No, no, no, no.
I think the Jets told him that they're going to pay him money, something that was in the ballpark of what he wanted, which is why he was school with moves into the Jets. So that's that's like, I think they were going to make it the Jets hat. Because to me, people with that timeline and says like, if I'm the player, I'm looking at the age, like, what the fuck did you like? You said it.
You said it. You tell me, like you said, people told me that's like, let's fix your real estate. They send you an offer. You accept the offer.
You go get your brand name. Actually, we only got five dollars. Exactly. If that's what happened, like you're saying, people is to represent Texas.
No, no, no, because at the end of the day, if if it was a representation as far, he could just fire them. That's what I'm thinking about. And he would have got rid of this. He was a fire.
He would have fired him. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, you know, what, the agent was as you right? You're like, no, people, I'm agreeing with you. This is a major fuck up.
I'm just saying, I don't know that we just need to press release as the way he's fired his representation. I think that may come in a couple of days. The representation. Nevermind.
Hold on a second. The representation would have made a statement the same way, one of the big names Russell Westbrook, where he went, the whole thing in LA happened before LA. With teams that didn't want to trade for him, he got rid of the agent. The agent went out and said, we have party ways with Russell Westbrook.
It was a couple days. Okay. Come on, Kayne. Um, well, this was a tweet from the Shultz report and it says that the Jets were informed before acquiring Hassan Redick that his contract needed to be addressed.
They made an offer prior to the trade with Billy, which Redick earned down. The team still went ahead with the trade without a field in place. Redick attended his press conference with the understanding that contract talks with continue, but I'm told no official proposal has been made since he joined the team in late March. That's where things stand.
And it's why Redick has not been with the team at Meany Cap for training camp and watch days trade requests was made. So who that's not like that's not like the. It sounds like it sounds like representation to me. The Jets don't, they got to be winning, bro.
We just want you to come here and get on the field for you. We don't really give a fuck about none of the other stuff that you got going on. You're, you're, you're Asian lie to you. Your agent told you that a deal was going to be right now.
Did you hear what Ken said? I did. And that's on your agent. That ain't on me.
As a Jets, if I own the Jets, that ain't on me. I'm going to do whatever I got to do to get you in the play football downs, bro. I'm going to talk about looking at it. I got, but if I tell you, but if I tell you upfront that money is an issue and if you're not going to pay the most pay for it, but you in good faith are saying you're willing to talk.
That's it. I'm not willing to talk. Who's that? All that.
I got one thing to say again, the Jets are slime balls. If this is how it played out, but I will say this one thing. One thing I will say this to lose point. They verbally only agreed.
They only made verbal agreements. They didn't make it. If the agent was really the agent in my opinion, he would have been like, we're not doing shit into that contract. It's in our face.
He's good. If he's good, that agent is good. We've been talking to Philly. We've been talking to Philly all summer and we, we done talking.
There's a point in time where you got to be done talking like either you put that contract or just don't. And if you do trade for me, then I'm not going to no press conference. I'm going to ask for a trade again. Or like, to me, if everything was agreed upon, peace, you king, all the way up to the, because I mean you don't show up to the press conference unless there's like, unless you truly believe a deal is being passed down to you.
If you don't, that looks stupid on you because he doesn't look like the Jets regardless. But he has to say crazy. The Jets will be crazy to do what they did. You have to think that in the player, they wouldn't trade for you unless they understood the demand and felt like they could meet your demands.
It would be pointless to trade for you and not take care of you. That's not true. It's not true. They know you have to pay for it because they know you have to pay for it.
I got your contract now, bro. You are at the disadvantage, not me. I have your contract. You got to come in here and play.
You already demanded to trade from another team who claimed they wanted you or whatever. Whatever you said happened to show. I have your contract now. I have your rights.
