2025 Westfield Soccer

Westfield has been one of the most dominant high school soccer programs in Northern Virginia over the past two seasons. Despite their success, the team fell short of reaching the state playoffs both years, losing in heartbreaking penalty shootouts.Today, I'm joined by forward and rising junior Ethan O’Connor; defender Kevin O’Connor, who is headed to Creighton; senior midfielder Joel Geraban; and midfielder Nick Ribera, who in a few weeks will be playing for Stevenson University.We reflect on the emotional aftermath of those tough postseason exits and whether regrets remain. We also discuss the impact of longtime head coach Erich Wiemann, who stepped down after the season, and explore the Bulldog's intense rivalries with McLean, Herndon, Oakton, and others.To close, we look ahead—exploring goals for the upcoming school year and what lies beyond as they prepare for college and the next chapter in their soccer journeys.
