Scéal an ghrúpa rapcheoil as Béal Feirste Kneecap atá sa scannán arbh é an Sasanach Rich Peppiatt a scríobh agus a stiúraigh. Fine Point Films from Belfast and Wildcard Distribution from Dublin were among the production companies involved in the film. Fine Point Films as Béal Feirste agus Wildcard Distribution as Baile Átha Cliath, bhí siad i measc na gcomhlachtaí léiriúcháin a bhí bainteach leis an scannán. The film was funded by the British Film Institute, Vision Northern Ireland, the Irish Language Broadcasting Fund, Vision Ireland, the Media Commission and TG4. The proposal attracted controversy, however, and various groups in the North and Britain expressed their dissatisfaction that public money had been spent on it. Tharraing an togra conspóid, áfach, agus thug grúpaí éagsúla sa Tuaisceart agus sa Bhreatain le fios go raibh siad míshásta gur caitheadh airgead poiblí air. Much of the group’s lyrics and artistic expression are based on provocative IRA propaganda. Tá cuid mhór de liricí agus de léiriú ealaíonta an ghrúpa bunaithe ar bholscaireacht ghríosaitheach an IRA. Irish actress Saoirse Ronan has also been nominated for a BAFTA award for her role in the film The Outrun. Tá an t-aisteoir as Éirinn Saoirse Ronan ainmnithe do dhuais BAFTA freisin as an bpáirt a bhí aici sa scannán The Outrun. RTÉ News and Current Affairs Nuacht agus Cúrsaí Reatha RTÉ
