2026-27 Fantasy Hockey: Positional Previews - Goalies

The DFO Fantasy Show wraps up its 2026-27 Fantasy Hockey Positional Previews with a deep dive into the most unpredictable position in fantasy: goalies! Brock Seguin and Beebs Bondy break down the consensus Top 10 fantasy hockey goalies, led by Andrei Vasilevskiy, Connor Hellebuyck and Logan Thompson, while discussing when — and if — you should spend an early-round pick on a netminder. Is Vasilevskiy worth a first-round pick? How should fantasy managers approach Hellebuyck with uncertainty surrounding his future in Winnipeg? Could Logan Thompson be one of the best picks in fantasy hockey this season? And which goalies offer the best combination of wins, workload and elite ratios? The guys also break down Jake Oettinger, Jeremy Swayman, Igor Shesterkin, Ilya Sorokin, Jesper Wallstedt, Scott Wedgewood and Karel Vejmelka as they work through the Top 10 and discuss how goalie value changes between category and points leagues. Then it's time to find the goalies who could make — or break — your fantasy draft: 💎 VALUE PICKS: Jeremy Swayman, Jet Greaves & Carter Hart 🚀 BREAKOUT PICKS: Joel Hofer & Yaroslav Askarov ⚠️ ADPs TO AVOID: Sergei Bobrovsky & Scott Wedgewood One of the biggest takeaways? Brock's 10,000 simulated fantasy drafts and seasons found that Logan Thompson appeared on 21.8% of championship-winning teams in category formats — more than any other player. Plus, Brock and Beebs discuss goalie draft strategy, True ADP, category vs. points formats, workload, team environment and why waiting on goalies can work very differently depending on your league settings. Whether you're looking for an elite goalie early, searching for value in the middle rounds or taking a late-round swing on a breakout, this episode has everything you need to attack the position on draft day.
