2026 July 05 - Saturn's Iapetus: Painted Moon

In today's image, we see an image taken by the Cassini spacecraft back in 2007 of the moon of Saturn known as Iapetus. This is a very unusual moon in that one half appears as bright as snow and the other half as dark as coal.
