2026 Lenten Reflections- Day 1: The Journey Begins – Ash Monday

Starting today and going until April 6, 2026 I will be doing a Lenten Reflection everyday. It will consist of a reading, reflection, and end it prayer. I pray that it's a blessing to you this lent.     Day 1: The Journey Begins – Ash Monday   Monday, February 16   “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19) Lent is a time of intentional preparation, a journey where we focus on the Resurrection of Christ and what it means for our lives. It's about stripping away distractions and turning our hearts fully toward God.   Reflection: Today, as we receive ashes, we are reminded of our mortality and our need for repentance. Lent is a fresh start—an opportunity to turn back to God with sincerity. What will you do differently this Lent to grow in holiness? How can you begin your journey today? Think about what you want to leave behind and what you want to grow into.   Prayer: Lord, as I begin this Lenten journey, help me to focus on You above all else.
