2026 Management of Dyslipidemia: ACC guidelines part 1

Hot off the press the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association have new lipid guidelines. I am glad to see them implementing apo-B and LP(a) into the discussion. We at Iron DPC have been utilizing these for years at Iron DPC. We will will be incorporating much of what they advise here and incorporating it into the Iron DPC population. One of the most practice changing advise they provide is just focusing on the ApoB. I agree it is the single most important marker. I will at this point stop following the lipid NMR subfractionations as the cost is more at $24 and apo B is $5 and the apo B follows the lipid particle count closely.
