This edition of Making Waves begins with a performance of Sandpaper Hammock by Aliyah Aziz that was recorded February 21st, 2026 in South River, Ontario, Canada.In this performance Aliyah Aziz uses electromagnetic 'listening gloves' to probe various electronic devices on the table in front of her. At other times, she will activate with the help of audience members the sewing machine instrument from Anju Singh’s sound installation at NAISA which was featured in the previous episode of Making Waves.
