(2026_08_01 )- Q/A on Resurrection of the Dead (Part 1)- Juniors BM- Pastor James Akinjide
from Gadites USA · host GaditesUSA
In this episode of the Gadites USA Juniors meeting, our Pastor opened a new topic drawn from one of the six fundamental principles found in Hebrews chapter six—the resurrection of the dead. He established from Hebrews 5:12 and 6:1 that these six items constitute the first principles of the oracles of God, which is milk, and that Paul was urging the Hebrew church to leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ and press on to perfection, showing that there are three spiritual foods in the realm of the Spirit: milk, meat, and strong meat.We began by defining resurrection itself as an ascending phenomenon—a transition of estate from one energy level to another, either from death to life or from one level of life to a higher level. It was clarified that the "dead" in this lesson refers specifically to those whose earthly tabernacles have fallen to the ground, whose spirits and souls have departed to heaven or to hell. Using Romans 5:12, we saw that sin kicked the door down and death entered after it, making sin responsible for both spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death in all its forms of sickness, weakness, and decay. In addition, we explored the first kind of resurrection, that of the dead in Christ. From 1 Thessalonians 4:16, we saw that the Lord will descend with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. It was emphasized that this is a resurrection of bodies, not spirits, since those who died in Christ already experienced resurrection in their spirits at new birth. Their bodies will be restored no matter the form they have taken, because every cell and every particle of dust is accounted for by God, and the trump of God is powerful enough to call it all back.Furthermore, we learned that the second kind of resurrection belongs to those who are alive and remain. These, being alive in Christ, will be caught up together with the risen dead in the clouds, and together they will meet the Lord in the air—the air being the heaven of the earth currently occupied by Satan as prince of the power of the air, distinct from the physical clouds into which Jesus was received in Acts 1:9. It was also taught that the same body a believer has now is the body they will carry eternally, apart from deformities and infirmities which will be made whole, and that this reality is a reason to honour and care for the body God has given.
