In this episode of the sophomores brethren meeting, our Pastor taught on the components of the tabernacle and their importance in the new testament. He explained that the tabernacle is divided into three segments: The Outer Court, The Sanctuary, and The Most Holy Place. Our Pastor explained that it represented righteousness, peace, and joy specifically in the new testament. Exo 26 & 27, Heb 9:2, Rom 14:17.In addition we saw that the outer court comprises majorly of the Brazen Altar and the Brazen Laver. The Brazen Altar is where the Priest offered burnt offering and the Brazen Laver is where the Priest cleanse themselves before entering into the sanctuary which is the realm of righteousness and faith in Kingdom of Christ. Our Pastor explained that these actions would be carried out in the soul through revealed instructions by the Holy Spirit. Rom 1:17, Rom 14:17, Exo 27. Furthermore we saw that the beginning of sanctuary was the realm of hope as the hope is to become a Christ man. The sanctuary consisted of the Menorah, the table of shew bread, and the Golden Censer. The Menorah represented the seven spirit of the Lord, and this was the light that guided the Priest in the Holy Place. Our Pastor explained that in the new testament this signified that a believer isn't guided by the Light of the sun and the moon, thereby this is the realm where a believer is made free from sin and death. Our Pastor further explained that the shew bread was eaten by the priest in the Holy Place which signified the word of Christ that a believer in the Holy Place feeds on to receive understanding to do the instructions of the Holy Place. Then it was seen that the Golden Censer was used to offer incense to the Lord, and it was usually taken into the most Holy Place which signified a believer achieving unity of the faith and becomes a Charity man which is the bond of perfectness. Col 3:14, Exo 25, Isaiah 11:2, Rom 8:1-2, John 8:32.Finally, our Pastor established that the most Holy Place represented Joy in the new testament. It was the realm of the fulness of Christ. The Ark of Convenant and the Shekinah Glory was present there. He explained that the Ark of Covenant consisted of manna, Aaron’s Rod, and the two tablets of stone. He explained that it represented Word, death, and blood specifically in the new testament. Then, he explained that the shekinah glory represented the presence of God which signifies God resting in the tabernacle of a believer’s soul in the new testament. Isaiah 66:1, Heb 9:1-5, Exo 25. In conclusion, we established that the tabernacle is the journey of man building a house for God. It was seen that every part of our journey can only be achieved through revealed instructions as it is customized, and it is necessary to understand the tabernacle in its entirety and in its component because without which we cannot build a house for God.
