from Gadites USA · host GaditesUSA

In this episode, we continue our discussion on following the leading of the Spirit. It was highlighted that we should not seek the spectacular and miss the supernatural when God is leading us.One of the ways God leads us is through prophecy. Prophecy in the New Testament is given for edification, exhortation, and comfort. Every prophecy should be proved and judged, but we should never despise prophecy.Another way the Holy Ghost leads is through dreams. To interpret dreams, understanding is required. It takes age and wisdom to properly discern the message a dream is trying to communicate.Neither prophecy nor dreams are the primary ways God leads believers. The primary way God leads us is through the inward witness.Every external means of leading, whether through prophecy, an angel appearing to you, or any other supernatural manifestation, should serve as confirmation of what your spirit has already told you.In conclusion, the leading of the Spirit does not always have to be a dramatic experience. Being at peace about something does not necessarily mean that it is from God. We should exercise ourselves in waiting on the Spirit for His response and avoid being hasty in making decisions.
