Welcome back to Subs Watch Radio. Again, I've got John and Will with me. We're a super skate companion edition. Shane goes to.
It just goes in, doesn't it again? Yes, so this was released yesterday as we record this. And it's, it's basically saying, always 10 years later, Shane and Beach House are back in an era of destruction. This video part demands your undivided attention.
If you can't keep your attention on this video for only five minutes, you've got problems. You need to get up to TikToks. So, there's any skate companion. We watch it along together.
You can just hear us all guys. I'm over Shane O'Neill doing some crazy combos. Nice, nice short little skate companion, but we're here to cover it. So, we're going to count down three to one and press play and we're all watching along together.
So, three, two, one and play. Another classic, fresh elastic. Yeah. Oh, there you go.
April then. There we go. Just saying he's a smooth operator and then throwing that out at the end of it. What do you think to the book, 4x3 gimmick?
Like it? Yeah. Mate, like what are you doing? So what was that?
Well, don't you know it's grind, 270, non-flip out? Yeah. Noli tray perfection. It's a beautiful switch Oli.
Pings it round, classic. The hard-cut flip and then backs up with the Noli heels. It's just so clean. Switch, run, flip and go full.
Big flip. Uh, 5x0. Switch, straight, nose grind. Pivot out.
It's prompted in early. Just like the switch flip, nose grind. That Noli tray up those. With the cushion landing as well.
Yeah. Really appreciated. Didn't need that fakie tray, but he just treated us to it anyway. Well, why do you want to call that?
Got a lot of PS7 clip. Yeah. Especially when you get a switch, very little. Flip in, flip out.
You don't see many big spins that way. No. No, you don't. There's too many, so many tricks of one go.
Like how would you do it? Yeah, you'd just be non-stop talking. Exactly. It's a complete and out of head fuck, but style for absolute days.
So clean and crispy. When me and Will did the pre-limbs for the All-Star skaters, the top tier skaters. Shain O'Neal with that Shadow of a Dout is, he has to be in a conversation. Yeah.
If you're talking a top tier, top level skater, look at him on a fucking skateboard. Everything's perfect. Yeah. I'd love to see him skating real life.
Switch straight out of that flavour. Just whip tiktok out a bit. You know, just bolts. How would you land in somebody's tricks that clean as well?
Yeah. And even that guy, I don't know his name, but does like the nose pivot. Yeah. And then flips out of it.
No, Shane said there's no shit clips in this. If you want to be in it, you have to do a heavy hit and trick in it. Yeah. That's why he's only got one clip.
Yeah. Oh, I switched flippers. It's just absolutely amazing. The Swiss flippers.
Best switch flipper in a game up there. Oh, ah! Such a dit. Oh, God.
That tray nose growing, fully flip out. Oh, my God. It's mental. Switch by flip.
And what? Yeah. I watched that clip on Instagram with the switch back side flip. Nose growing, big spin.
I watched that. Yeah. I lost track of every time. I just watched the ending clip over and over again, but there's so many.
There's so many that he just turns it on. Yeah. That's naughty. That's naughty.
And this extra kick around. I love that. Big spin like big spin. But, tray flip, no slide.
Manual. Manual. Just team himself up, getting ready. Getting ready for the ledges.
Cook flip out, Manny. Cook. Not only flip. Not only flip down.
He's putting a lot of these big boys to shame. He's saying he's day one. I'm here. If you want to do a round four or whatever.
That's me. I'm here. I'm waiting for you. It's such a good video.
It's such a good video. For me, it's as close as a five you could get. I'm not sure if I'm giving it a five. It's so close.
But you want to give it a five. I want to give it a five. I really want to give it a five. I really want to give it a five.
Maybe I love the vibe of it. It's a high four for me. Really high four for five minutes of like we're talking about voice clips in the Dickey's skate companion. He's not slouching on any of this shit.
Every single trick is like, no one else can do this. No one else can do this well. I'll throw it over. What do you boys think?
I really want to give it a five. I'm trying to find a reason not to give it a five. The only reason I've got is I'm selfish enough to want more. You know, finish it.
You're like, no. But it's a five and a half minute video. Yeah, but I want ten from Shane. You want to finish it?
Yeah. Yeah, I want to Mark Johnson out of him. Yeah. That's harsh.
You have to have done a three songs to get five or whatever. I think that's why it isn't a five because you needed three songs. Yeah, just a little bit longer. But otherwise it's flawless.
If anything, you'd pick out, all right, well, the film I could have got a bad angle here or whatever. Otherwise, I can't pick anything bad. But like you said, Will, it's a selfish reason why we're not giving it a five. We're not this and him.
The reason why you didn't give me enough. I want it more. Five more. Yeah.
You could give me some of your B-roll switch flips that you weren't happy with, but I would have been happier. You should have put it out. Or just a double angle and everything. Or like a little nine minute video where you have a kind of interlude.
You do all your manning stuff at the start and then you do all your big caps. Do it like that. That would be good. Right.
So I'm just the middle of a manual. Let's just dive back into the part, boys. He doesn't hang about. Does he?
Straight away, you're blessed. Get the April logo just to sell this shit. And then straight away, he's on the smoothest. Noli crook.
And he's just gliding, gliding pops out just to show that he can pop out. And then here we go. So we're on the, yeah, Noli flip backside, Noli flip to what we call an second line. This tray, where you break it down, you're the tray man amongst us.
What caliber are you writing this up? Because I'm putting that as near enough 10 out of 10. What number is it on? I think I just went past it.
20 seconds in or whatever. It's just the tray flip in the second line. It's just a quick round as well. It's quite perky.
It's quick, but it's not messy. It's just a landing for me. Does he push afterwards? No, he doesn't push afterwards.
Straight into the middle. Noli back. Yeah. Was it backside here?
Noli back hill. Yeah. That Noli tray as well. I know it's nothing for shame, but it's just so smooth.
If a lot of the only movement he does when he lands is just bend his knees. That's it. Yeah. Just a little cushioner in it.
Just a little. The switch Oli at like 49 seconds over that pole. Yeah. Because he's over, pushes, and then there's back, like there's three segments to do it.
If you pause it at 50 seconds, the height of it, the switch Oli over a baller, which is if you stood next to that, that's going to be big. That's going to be a push to Oli. You know it's just showing off. The caliber of making your switch Oli look that good is incredible.
It's hard to do. It's hard to make. There's a few people about him back in the day. There's been a few, but they were kind of specialists of the switch Oli, whereas Shane is especially super much everything, trying to include him.
And then he does a half-gun flip. Yeah. And then it's still flying. And then does the Noli here down the stairs.
Yeah. And then yeah, just to show off, he's in a pole switch front side flip. Love that Noli, uh, Noli full count of three. Yeah.
Yeah. Just the right pushes. I like three pushes, mate. I like the shirt match on the shoes and that clip as well.
What is it? Yeah, Shane's good for that. Just as well. I think it's the 118 or 117 mark.
What a switch flip. No, sorry. Just before that. One to the other.
Yeah. Yeah. Straight nose grind. I love a little bank ledge sort of thing.
Yeah. Well, that switch look knows going as well as fucking beautiful. It's on point. The Noli tray up the stairs is.
You just set your nose. Yeah. That's the clip. I'm happy with just that.
Yeah. Yeah. Like I said, the way that he does just lever it down is showing control. He doesn't need to, you know, he can catch it however he wants to catch it, but he's just, he's gone up a curve.
Just saying why he would kind of, you know, you would necessarily always learn the bolts. You would feather it down with the back wheels to nose. And he's doing the same thing, but throwing a Noli tray in there. Three power pushes.
Nice strides. Yeah. Nice strides, mate. Pinger, fakie, dreight away.
And then switch very real. Yeah. Four piece line. Then that next trick, the switch flip.
Blunt. Yeah. It's a back tail and a front glove. It's like a pro one.
It's like, yeah. Yeah. It's an over back tail, but it's in a position of a front blunt. Yeah.
Yeah. If he came from the other side, it'll be a front blunt, but it's not back blunt. It's back blunt in the front blunt position. Kind of is.
Switch. Just to be waiting skateboarding tricks here. And then the Noli, nose grind. Noli here.
Come on. That's got to be like a super up there move for the PS7. So clean. Yeah.
Switch very real. Switch with how? And it's meant to, like we've seen Will do a very, a standard very helpful outline. I've seen him do that.
And you may have, I don't know if you ever hit one into a manual, but I haven't been edited, but I've seen it out. So then just go switch your body around, be ambidextrous. And then I'm sure they're not. I'm sure they're bigger than you.
Yeah. I love the start. Switch manual and then the switch with how. How many levels are we talking here to get to that point?
It's just, I can't even comprehend it. I can't recommend Will do it just to bear with you. So how many steps up are we going? Oh, it's just on the next level.
Like it's just like, I can't even see it. I like the start of the following clip where he's just kind of like coasting through with a power press into frame and then Noli front shove, big spin. Oh, yeah. Beautifully done.
Great catch. I do like the tune as well. Yeah. I do like the vibe.
That that many pad as well. The tiles are really nice. That's in the John D. Lo video.
You know the one that we loved. Yeah. He hits that. Are we going to talk about the clip just before that?
So it's the Noli heel no slide. Noli. Noli backside flip out with the reverb. It's just insane.
Where else we got? Where else we got? Where's the? It's a Noli flip and then Noli backside heel.
Textbook, big flip, screen choose. Really nicely done. I mean, that switch flip later on. So with the, and the over the blind bumps on either side and still then some, on the actually lands it.
Yeah. And the, the DIT switch Smith. Oh, that's nuts. Yeah.
Cause it's, I don't understand how he's dipping it so much on. It's not that big a niche either. Like that's a ledge. And then the only one would be comfortable enough to.
Watch like 50. Like you wouldn't even question that and he's got it right down. And then maybe you need it to hike that very well out. But he doesn't like his nothing.
Like every other trick in the video. Yeah, he's just doing everything. Everything like it's nothing. If I can trade flip, no is grind.
Noli flip out. Like literally like you are playing skate. He's put, you know, and we, we, we've got PJ Ladd and rightfully so. Put that trick up against anyone.
When Mike Mode did is what was the. He's got a big one. He's got a big one. Yeah.
Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Oh, that would go.
Try sticking, you know, flipping flip out in that situation with a trade, you know, just regular trade into nose grind and then being that kind of like precise out of it. And it's, it's not like he's, he's not rushing. He's not forcing it. It's just, he is a different level.
He's a different breed of skateboarder. And it's not, you couldn't even film. He is going to go down as this era is. You couldn't even do any better as well.
It's not like he could re-film these clips. There's no point. He's done as good as it could have been done. Yeah.
And if he hadn't have done them perfectly, he would have re-filmed them himself. Do you know what I mean? I'm sure he is. He's that anal that he would have been on top of his shit.
That non-le 180. That's that slow-mo. Just to see that hang kind. And just switch it up.
I'll go. Yeah. Big spin. And then another big spin.
Have you got any, each one of you, start with you, but if you want, if you've got a favorite clip, you can pinpoint one clip that you really appreciate more than any of the others. Switch, Barrow, Hill, Manny. It's got to be up there. It was just too good.
Yeah. Fair play. Yeah. Jono?
Um, fuck. I'm just trying to hover through and see. Um, you go. Well, I'm kind of thinking the last clip because it's just ridiculous.
Um, but it's a favorite probably, the trick I mentioned before, where he, what was it, the Nolli, is it a Nolli flip or a Nolli heel, no slide? Backside. Nolli flip out. It's just, it's mental.
Maybe it is. Yeah. But there's so many of them, right? You just watched two more clips ago.
Maybe like that one more. Maybe the, uh, the Switch myth. Very, very low. Just because that is.
And if not, the trade, but no is Nolli flip. So, I can't want to give it a five. There's not many half-assed tricks in this. And, you know, we're not saying they're 10 stairs and 15 stairs.
They're not 10, but not, but what we're talking about is everything is pretty much perfect. You object, you object, we can't fault it. No, there's nothing wrong with it. Yeah, exactly.
And I think it kind of has, but they're just in there so quick. Well, yeah, I'm going to give it a five. Yeah, I think I'm giving it a five as well. It's two good.
You can keep watching over and over again. We can just keep watching this. Yeah, what part? It's got to be up there.
So this video was uploaded before for what, right? It's got 163,000 views already. Yeah, which was for a skate video is ridiculous. Yeah, try it in like a year.
We can remember and I'll start October to look at what this has done. You've got every Australian who's got to be watching this part. The video part. Yeah.
Yeah. The part uploaded to Fresh Over Four. Nate guests are wasted. It's got 34,000 views in three days.
Yeah, this is Shane. Oh fucking Neil, mate. That's a difference. Yeah.
He makes you want to buy an April skateboard, doesn't he? He does that. Sort of. Well, do you not believe it's going to make you be this good?
That's the problem. No, no, no chance. It's like I can't do that much to me. Yeah.
What a part. It's too good. Yeah, if you have not watched this, you need to watch it. Such a great video.
Yeah. Just watch it a couple of times. Watch it. Do you get bored?
Just stick it on. It's better than doom scrolling. You can just do this. Watch his last clip Tony Hawk's Pro Skate style.
It's so good. What a clip to end on. I fucking love it. It's just such a move.
It's like. So yeah, I can do that. You just put it down and leave it there. Because who else is going to step up apart from John D.
Lo, who else is going to step up and get near something like that? Maybe John D. Lo and day one could probably do that trick, right? Maybe.
Yeah. That's the secret. Yeah. It'll be a bit stinky.
Yeah. Proper. Yeah. Yeah.
Snaking about. Yeah. You have to get in a pause frame by frame. Did he?
Did that tail touch? Yeah. It looks like it touched there and there. But Shane don't touch.
He's never sprayed his life as a. Yeah. Yeah. That's fine.
Yeah. That's the thing. We'll leave it there, boys. We'll say thank you to Shane O'Neill, the April Skateboards.
Thank you to Skateboarder for blessing us with that. Because that's going to be there for us. You haven't needed it. You haven't needed just a five minute video to get yourself back in a game.
That's the one. This has been So much Radio and we'll see you on the next one.
