2040: Listeners Pick the Best Music of 2024 Part 17: Frank Turner, Johnny Blue Skies, The Courettes, Kit Sebastian

Happy New Year and welcome to the Best of 2024 series! Our listeners are choosing their favorite album and song from last year and today it’s a double shot of 2024 picks. First, Keith Jacobsen unveils his song of the year (Frank Turner’s “Ceasefire) and his album of the year (the self-titled collection from Johnny Blue Skies). Bill Mulligan offers some hip-shaking selections in The Courettes’ “Shake” and Kit Sebastian’s album New Internationale. Much appreciated Keith and Bill!Visit our website at SuburbsPod.comEmail Jim & Patrick at [email protected] us on the Threads, Facebook or Instagram @suburbspodIf you're glad or sad or high, call the Suburban Party Line — 612-440-1984.Theme music: "Ascension," originally by Quartjar, next covered by Frank Muffin and now re-done in a high-voltage version by Quartjar again!  Visit quartjar.bandcamp.com and frankmuffin.bandcamp.com.
