What is it? I'm a bit to the reveal. I don't know. It's okay.

What's the joke? You got the joke? Yeah, it's this guy. Yep.

He locked his keys in his car. Yeah. And he's matesy. Don't worry.

I can get the keys out. He's hanging in the keys out. He's watching. He rub his leg on the side of the car and boom.

The car unlocked. I'm going to do that. He goes, I'll marry my car, keep hands. Oh God.

What do you think? I'm going to go to the old talk. Ross is back. Ross is back with some new ones.

Can you hear that sound? Can you hear that sound? Hosted by Peter Rose leaving the middle. That's a sick belt clicking in.

We're doing a very special boring boom. We're doing a live drive tonight in a BMW X5 because the fucking dashboard is telling me bright green arrows. What the car is? Seriously.

Do you need that? In front of you. Is that like a fake, you know, you pay extra for screens on the passenger side? Is it?

It's quite an arrow. It's pretty left and right. And it flashes when things happen in the car. It's like, you're the passenger.

I know. So if there's like something happening up ahead, it'll flash. And then you'll have to tell the driver, hey, stop. Sliding up.

And it does things that's really strange. Why? I'm sure we're going to. I don't know.

Let's start it. Okay. Oh, do you hear that? And not only that, it had the screen, it had a picture of the trees in front of me.

Oh, no, that's really cool. That's really cool. That's real. That's real.

So why? Okay. We'll find out. So we're in an X5.

It's an update. The LCL. The LCL. The LCL.

The LCL. The LCL. The LCL. The LCL.

The LCL. The LCL. The LCL. The LCL.

The LCL. Dropped. Yeah. Oh, there's no geistic.

Yeah, what's that? Yeah, it's a little flippy thing. Okay, so what would be a big... Really?

What? Why a BMW? Why what? Where's the geistic?

Just trying to get out with that. Let's get out without doing a lotus on it. I know he's on it. Sounds like a night glider.

I'll wake my up. Left. Left. Jesus.

So you're on your house, I'll have a bigger driveway. Or maybe... Oh, go back and check the guys' glass. We're leaving the late.

Okay, is that reversed? Was that half a race? Let's get back to try to hit the dogs. Okay.

Obviously mine. That's what your house? The guest in the backseat is the guy close. Mm-hmm.

That's it. Okay. So back to D4 drag. All right, so D4, we'll slow it around through a few things.

Okay, I'll say it before I take off. So what X5 is this? This is an X5, 30D hybrid. 30D?

Diesel hybrid? Diesel hybrid. No. They got my letter.

Where are you closing the window? I'm not going to get the wind. No, we're going to go on the window. It's going to be 20 minutes, mate.

Just going to record your bed with it. It's like when you're on TV and all the cameras, all the lights are showing on you. Right, so we're going to get it right? Yeah.

It's going to be a hybrid. I've always wanted a diesel hybrid. This is a comfort mode, right? Because diesel is not too much.

This side of the road, we're not in America. Look. Look, look, look, look. So that's, it's screens.

Yep, it's, I know. So the screen, the screen flashes, the dashboard flashes. Oh. Yep.

When you get a phone call. Okay, so it's useless. It's on your side. Yeah, correct.

Correct. So we're in a diesel hybrid. I've always thought diesel is always renowned for low. Just watch out for the new shtanes.

You've got here in Hanasil. We've got the formula one coming down as hill. And then you go check the right hand side. You can see.

Yep. There we go. It's a traffic plug-in. Yeah, I know.

I saw that the way. The listeners, they care. So it's a diesel hybrid. Finally, you get the most efficient engine.

Correct? With the most efficient. Okay. So I've been driving the car now for three weeks on the right side of the road on Ipata.

Yes. And I've got 570 kilometers left. I haven't done half a tank yet. And I haven't filled it up.

Is it a plug-in? Not a plug-in. So it's just a mild hybrid. But it's so efficient, I've never seen anything like in my life.

It's phenomenal. It's almost, it's better than the XM. I'm just going to say that. It's a quarter of a price.

And it is so efficient, it's not funny. And it's comfortable. It's got S-suspensions, it's got the M50 S-suspension in it. It's an M Sport.

It runs over 150 grand. You're at about 170 for this car. Yeah. Which is a lot of money in my opinion for a diesel.

But if you want a nice car, you'd option it with 7 seats. This one doesn't have a 7 seat. But I think if you option it with 7 seats, this would be a good 5 to 10 year car for someone that's going to put 200, 300,000. 200, 300,000 car.

It really is a good car. And how does it drive? Mate, I loved it. Like it was the right car for that literally free weight driving.

And in America, there's a lot of expansion gaps in LA with earthquakes and things. This is a good city car. Dropping kids to school car. Comfy.

It looks cool when you park it because you can lower it. Because that's, you know. Okay, just tell me about the dash. So we've got a new augment to be able to drive.

So we're running I drives. The car's just started with I drive 8. We've actually got I drive 8.5 here. So they're actually moving to I drive 9.

But this is the, they've changed the, I suppose the backing of it. I think this is Android base where the previous one wasn't. It's got, it's got. It's got.

It's got. Watch it. Watch. Watch it.

Watch. It's not going to. It's not bad. It's not bad.

It's not bad. It's a bit softer. I'm not going to push it through this. No, no.

Definitely not. It's a bit of green hatches. It's right down here. So look at the good.

It's a good car. So back to the I drive. So this is running out. I drive the 8.5.

So the dash, the cluster in front of you has all mental reality. It gives you everything that's happening in front of you. So you've got your. At all.

At any given point in time. So it's your BMW got with your sideways information dash. The left side's like a bar that sort of points to the left going up. But the speedo's numerically the right side is a power meter in this car.

It's not really a taco. It's not a taco. No, it's not a taco. It is.

It's a taco. It's got power meter at the top. It's a bit confusing. And, but in the middle it's like a TV screen looking at what I'm looking at.

Yeah, but it's not. It's night vision. So at night when it's dark or it's rainy or whatever. That's what you see.

It actually doesn't change. It's that bright. It's constantly on it. It's probably one of the best features.

Very disappointing that a $300,000 exam doesn't have it. That's not going to. What not that too? But this is for what this car is.

This has got absolutely. It's just got. I don't know. It's just got all the new tech in it.

They've done a really good job of putting. I think everything just works well. It's the next five. It's one of the best selling four drives.

It's best looking. Best looking. The facelift was great. They've done great job with the front and relights.

I just don't think you can fault it. I like Mercedes. I'm a BMW friend as well. But I've never gone into love the GLE and class when it first came out.

There's just something awkward about it where the X5 has won me over this generation. This G series has been fantastic. There's no squeaks. It's well built.

It's comfortable. It's loaded with features. Even if you don't tick the option box. This doesn't really have any options.

This car is pretty much boxed down. It's got the M Sport on it which is what? A set of wheels. A 22.

A 22 as well. It doesn't feel like it's on 22. It's very nice and high. It's very comfortable.

Seat and eyes. Look. If I had to say that. I'm not sure.

I'm not sure. It's very comfortable. Seat and eyes. Look.

If I had to buy a car again, I probably wouldn't be buying an XM. I'd be buying one of these for a hybrid. They're just a good all-around car. They're not offensive either when you're driving them.

I think it's going to be that they didn't have it diesel high before the update. No. Are they expecting this to sell? Quite well.

I don't even know. I couldn't even tell you. All I know is that I'm loving driving it. It's very comfortable.

I know that a lot of people that have got them love them. It doesn't sound like a diesel. I know we've launched it. It just doesn't sound like diesel.

It doesn't sound like diesel. Look at how big loads of power. We're getting older. Maybe I don't need to power.

We're talking about that with the captain last week and we drove back to back the E53 versus the C1.5 letter C class. We both gave the E53 Cooper thumbs up and the C class a two thumbs up. We're getting older. It's comfortable.

I think as we're getting older, but look, I had the X5M competition in the same series. Being the G series with the F95. It was a lot rougher. It was a lot lower.

It was a lot noisier. Did I enjoy the car? Loved it. It was a daily, is honestly sensational.

It really is. It doesn't feel that big. No. You see it high, right?

It doesn't feel that wide, except for coming out of your bloody lair. I think this would be the, for me, one of the best cars I've driven in a long time. It's a bit cool. Well, I drove a GLE 63S last week.

Yep. I enjoyed that. No, it's easy. There's lots of pops and bangs, but that's me.

I like that. But sometimes you just want to go for a drive and not have everyone look at you. I think you're looking at you, but they're actually looking at the car. You know, I'll look at all the medical lights.

Yeah, so it's got the... Especially because we're driving on the wrong side of the road. I think you're still looking for America. Look, what are you talking about?

There's no lights. So it lights up the part that needs lighting up. It's like, you know, if there's a car coming towards it, drop off. Apple CarPlay seems to work in this car.

The other BMWs that we may not know. It actually drives this one. It's good to. But yeah, overall, it's a great...

So, you know, if I put on the GPS now, even though it's talking about... So are the arrows on the screen? All the arrows in front of you. Yeah, so where are the CDs of, but it's in the center with the arrows, the augmented reality.

This is purely in the middle. This is only in the middle. Yeah, this doesn't have the... This doesn't have the...

It's all in the dash. It's all literally in front of you. You don't have to take your eyes off the road. And when the road is...

I suppose very... You know, when it is raining and dark and all that kind of stuff. That's perfect. That really does show what...

It's a good car. I can't fault it. The only option is I think you can get in this car is 7. So this one's option with 5.

This is got a San Rifustina. That's got the roof. Yeah. I think this car would be nice.

I mean, you don't like the X6 here. Look, I don't mind it. I don't like this car. I think this car...

The back lights look like back in the X6. I think this would be nice in the X6 as well. I just think it's got enough power for every day. Yeah.

And maybe if you gave it a tune. That's straight away. What would you tune this? It's a hybrid.

It's true. It's all good, it's great. So the modes, can you mix it like hybrid as in? So if you're in the hybrid as in.

It's always not like the best way. It's always... So there's no... You don't have to muck around with modes.

So you're back to basics with discomfort and sports. Now, it's not like this. Now, it's just... That's another man.

It's got a little bit more punch. Not much, but... Nah, you can feel the steering is tired and hard. Yeah, using a little bit more.

It's holding the gears. Using a little bit more. More diesel, I suppose. What would you drive like?

Nah, I was trying to get there. I was trying to stop it. I was trying to stop it. Sorry.

Yeah, last time you did that almost bit by pants. Yeah, well, we'll do that out. We're not needing that out. So I don't really know the streets here.

Look, it's over. I love it. It's a great car. I don't know.

It's a comfortable way to go with it to us for a couple of weeks. But just my comments, purely a virgin scene. Literally, I had one minute to prepare. I haven't even played with the buttons because last time we did that, you know, they should go down to work with someone else playing with the buttons.

The fuck it was another track, one put in track mode. The... You need a kiss to me. Yeah, that's annoying.

That's a little... There's no... They've got no... They've taken the kiss to go and they've given you like a little flop.

Like, okay. But here I am freaking this door. Yeah, you can't find it. It's really...

And there's a lot of buttons down here. I mean, I think we complain that there's not a lot of buttons. I have the same issue in the X5. I've got the same issue in the XM.

The amount of buttons that are out of your visual sight. The idea that these cars is everything is now on the dash. Yeah. Like, and I mean everything's on the dash.

I'm talking air conditioning radio. Like, everything's on the dash. It's quite clear, but it's very fidgety. If I'm going to reach out of it, it's terrible.

It's actually really frustrating because you need to do three things to get to the radio. You need to do three things to get to the air conditioning. Like, we want to get to the air con now. But if the air con button, I've got to turn it on.

Which, which is great radio. And then I've got to literally go and choose which side. And then I'll get to the... It's very frustrating.

Very frustrating. To come out of it now, I'll stay in the economy once I want to go back to the home. To then go back to the home. It's very frustrating.

You've got the voice commands. The problem with the voice commands are, that's great when you're in the car by yourself. When the kids have a conversation at the back, so... Yeah, quite a run trot to the wipers on.

Do you know what I mean? Yeah. You know, you could do a hay bingo and you'd turn the wipers on. It's not listening to you.

Doesn't listen. It's not the kids on the car. No, I was just talking to the car. The cars on the same thing.

So, you know, overall, I mean, it's a great car. Yeah. There's plenty of little cubbies for drinks. I think they're hidden in cool.

They're hidden in cool. I just saw the balance of that. I've got the funky green. I'm sure you can change the lights.

While it's charging, it hits your phone up so the phone is explode. Yeah, I know. It's not as good as that with mine. In the back seat, we've got some comfort in the back seat.

It's a good, you know, it's plenty of space. No, it's plenty of space in this car. No, it's 5. I'm a big guy.

I'm 6'4. Look, the thing I'm talking about you've really improved there in two years. Remember we had the IX3. The interior was nice.

The car was all wrong. It didn't. It was... It didn't.

It was nice. It's not. And I'm interested to drive the IX1. The IX3 I think was more of a rush job.

But the interior, I was really impressed. Again, it was the first time I was in the IX3. But the IX5, they've been done generally. They've improved.

They've had good materials, but they're gone with that curved screen back to that really old AM3. Everything facing the driver. Look, I like the curved screen. I think it's good.

No, it's great. The AM3, I mean, we're waiting on the AM3. LCI, which is due out the end of the year. They're starting to build them in August, I believe.

Oh, April, they're still in August. They're not changing the nose, are they? No, no. Why would they change the nose?

It's beautiful. You like it. I think it's, I think, yeah, I don't know. They're not changing the nose.

They've done lights and headlights. They've done retail lights. They've done, again, it's got, they did a mid-cycle on the 3 series thing. The poor buggers did all of the M3 from start.

No, no, no. Listen, I was waiting for his M340 IX. And it was meant to come this month, it's been delayed. But I'm guessing he's getting the...

No? No. I can't wait to hear my hands on that. Well, they haven't done LCI, they haven't started.

What, they've promised that they've done with the live drive in the year, the 340. They haven't started LCI, what is it? Okay. So, once they started building the infrastructure yet.

But I think that that 3 series has got the curves green. They've updated the interior. The 3 series currently has the curves green. Yeah, well, the first ones had the original data.

But only for like the poor month? Yeah, yeah. Well, that was a, that was sort of a light cycle. It was an LCI, but it was just a light day.

Yeah, it's an update. But that really dropped the values of the first generation and really dropped them because they were rear-wheel drive. Oh yeah, I know. They weren't for wheel drive.

It was no secret that the all-wheel drive was coming a year later. Yeah, well, it came a while quicker than that and then ended up with this new dash. And Brad was nice to give us the first one, but as Kim was the all-wheel drive, it was waiting to... Did we have the first one?

We had the first one, we had the best track there. Yeah, but was that... I didn't have the new dash. No, that was the very first hit.

We were told to bring that back and get a straight line. That was a good car, but I was going... I think the M3 is a bit small. For some of them, I mean, for daily driving, it's just a bit too small.

Yeah, it was never... I don't even know how I'd doubt it. I'd doubt it. I doubt it.

Sorry. I'm really impressed with it. It's inoffensive. Yeah, it's...

Sorry, I'm just a... I know we're going to... It's a bit of poke. We had...

I think it's still the sport. But you're right, it's not... Should we take on the fair and say what happens? No.

This guy's set up for fishing. Headline, see if he's around here. No, no, no, no. He doesn't even show the heart.

He doesn't even show the heart. No, it's cool. Hopefully it's his. I'll put this on my first water.

That's good. It's very up. You can tell the gear changes are very slow. It's not...

It's not... It's a diesel. It's a diesel. It's not...

It's not... It's not... How do I put it? The engine's got enough power for you to have a bit of play.

The gearing gears down in sports mode. But it's no dual-clutch quick shift. But that's not designed for all. Yeah, but let's say it doesn't have that.

But it also has the comfort to go with what we've got here. Oh, yeah, no, no. It is super comfortable. This is, for me, top of the peak.

This is a car you bought. Like I'm eating the speed ups at 35.40. That's because it is a suspension zone. And we're not...

Yeah, we're not... The facelift... One thing I want to drive next is the facelift. They've gone and...

We're going off till here. But Audi have taken the SQ7. They've taken the SQ7. They've taken the diesel motor out of it.

Yeah. They've put the full-wheel in it from the RSQ8. From the family. From the family from the Euro's from the get-bagger.

They've dropped it in the SQ7. They're doing a facelift. A third facelift on their car. Yeah, but see, I thought Audi would have learnt when the SQ5 went from diesel to petrol and they're on stop on them.

And they went back to diesel. So... Yeah, but the SQ7 and V8 sounds amazing. Oh, no, it's a different.

I just don't have to do anything to it. So I had a bit of a lecture from someone this week about why I'm mortifying my cars and how I should keep them standard from a dealer. And I'm sorry, why do you buy those cars from a dealership anymore? That's something that you can't help.

I can't help myself. That's your problem. I mean, we said it from the first episode. I like my warranty.

You love your tuning and how I just like going to straighten my eyes. It has an attitude. But I like to be individual, right? I like to do things.

So I want to put a driver like it. I want to drive a boring standard car. Every car, every single car that I've owned, every single car. And you're not going to keep it for the next person.

You bought it for you. Correct. I'm going to drive my car to conferences in the state. I want to love driving.

So I don't get any kilometers I put on it. I want to drive it. That's where you bought it. Correct.

That's how much you're really going to lose. If it's the right car, it's not like you're twisting drive shops. No, you're probably not trading it anyway. So I think it's a rat.

I think I'm X5. What do you give it? Thumbs up. Thumbs up.

Two or one. No, just thumbs up. Just one. You know what I mean?

It's just like I've got people who go inside your XM. And even your X5 competition. You have many XM. No, I've been in one.

But the X5 competition as well. Like the two other roof. All these funky stripes and arrows made sense. But that thing irks me on.

It's me that glove box on your side. It does fucking nothing. You can turn off. You can turn off.

I leave it on because it's just a reminder on driving. I'm driving along. I'm driving along. I'm on the X5.

I better take the right keys with me. Look at the arrows. They're weird. I mean someone rings at flashes.

Someone reverses a car when you reverse the car. It flashes. It doesn't make sense. Other than that, that would crack me.

But everything else is your standard BMW fare. They've really improved where they could have improved. They probably have made things complicated. But that's the way of the digital screens.

It's cheaper to put everything through a screen than having individual balance, individual things. I understand that, but I don't like it. It's a changer back. Well, that's what it is.
