206 The Deity of Christ

On this episode, we had guest speaker, Bro. Nestor Campbell, discussing the topic of the Deity of Christ. We saw that Christ has Deity: by origin, in form, in power, to be honored, to be worshipped by man, as Creator, and as He Who came out from the Father and will be reunited with Him as One. We discussed questions like: In Genesis 1:1, if Elohim is plural, why is the subject verb written as singular? If the Bible claims that there is one God, how can a Christian argue that God is three persons? Can you use Isaiah 9:6 to prove that Jesus is God? How can Hebrews 1:8 be used to ascribe deity to Jesus when it's simply referring to the Messianic King of Israel? Was Thomas referring to Jesus as God in John 20:28?
