On this week's episode, we place the acclaimed, much-memed Uncut Gems under our critical loupe and check it for flaws. We also add to our collection of awards-season related opinions by reviewing the widely nominated historical epic 1917, in which Roger Deakins stalks a pair of young soldiers around wartorn France, refusing to cut away. And we address a listener complaint by finally reviewing last year's well-received horror Midsommar, although neither of us thought it was that great so the review might not have been worth the wait (sorry Tom).PLUS we talk about the not very good Oscar nominations.
