207 - Do You Understand God’s Word

Overview – Do You Understand God’s Word? 1 Timothy 4:4-6. Our sermon starts out today picking up where the textual information of the last sermon left off. John continued writing to us of some interesting truths of the Gnostics of his day, along with those who are not saved and following false religions, even today. Some good info there, but I spend most of my time today in vs 6, where John says, “He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us.” This verse is both very simple, and very complex and complicated to understand, but I spend a bunch of time teaching on what John says to help us understand both aspects. Do you understand God’s Word, is the big question of this sermon, and the big question that each one of us needs to ask ourselves.
