#207 Today's Boondoggle- with Tim Williams of Vision of Disorder and Rollin Coffin

from Todays Boondoggle Podcast · host Today's Boondoggle Show

In this episode Bill talks with Tim Williams from Vision of Disorder and his latest project, Rollin Coffin. This was a really good interview and a lot of fun. We talk about our mutual love and inspiration from Maverick and Top Gun, early musical inspirations, Vision of Disorder winning High School Talent Shows, the early days of playing out and hustling in the music scene, building a name in incredibly heavy talent pool of musicians in Long Island and Manhattan, where he was when the towers fell on 9-11, the relationships and connections made over the many years of playing with VOD and time on Ozzfest, his friendship with Phil Anselmo and thoughts on the Pantera reunion/tribute that's coming up, and what led to VOD taking a hiatus and the origin of Bloodsimple. We also talk about our time in recovery and what his turning point was for getting sober, our mutual friend and sober brother Rene Mata connecting us, and his current project Rollin Coffin, the meaning behind the name and what this project means to Tim putting it together, working with Jay Reason and Static Era Records, when the EP should drop and what the plans are for the project going forward, the importance of our relationships today especially as Fathers, plus so much more.
