208 - God Is Love

Overview – God Is Love. 1 John 4:7-11. In John’s message today He reminds us for the 6th time so far in this epistle, that the defining trait or characteristic of a truly saved person should be love, for God is love, and everyone who loves, IS born of God. Is John telling us that someone can love their way into the kingdom of God, meaning that they can do the good work of loving others, to earn our salvation? Also, John says that a saved person is known by their love, but what type of love is John talking about? Is John saying that truly saved people ALWAYS have love just pouring out of them?
