209 - Cinema Paradiso

This week we journey back to post-WWII Sicily and let the majesty of film overwhelm us as we discuss Giuseppe Tornatore’s seminal Italian classic “Cinema Paradiso”. Join the 1001 by 1 crew as they discuss the incredible duo of Alfredo and young Salvatore, how we became cinephiles, and the fascination that filmmakers have in making movies about film. Also, this week Adam recommends the limited series “Tanner ‘88” (for rent on Prime), Britt recommends “Berberian Sound Studio” (free on Kanopy), and Joey recommends “The Baltimorons” (available on AMC+).
