In that episode, Helen and I spoke in depth about her book Contextual Well-Being. She has devoted her life to advocating for school contextual reform and the revolutionizing of traditional education systems. Helen is currently an honorary associate professor in the graduate school of education at The University of Western Australia and the chair of Positive Schools along with her partner Neil Portman. Helen firmly believes that, “Our role as educators is not to tell someone how to be well, or to reward them for behaving well. We have to provide young people with a context in which they can flourish”I love my conversations with Helen and I hope you all find the same value in the insight and life lessons that she shares in today’s episode.
