You are now listening to the UK and the world's favourite wrestling podcast. Archie and wrestling with your host Andy and Emma. Hi. How are you doing?

Oh. I've not spoke to you for months. Where are you fucking with? Oh God, last time I spoke to you was sometime in September.

Is that how long it's been? Yes. Yeah, yeah. What was it that...

What was the catalyst to not? What was the last show? I did not know what we were. The last show entailed.

Right, let me see. I don't think it was like a bad show or anything. I think we just... Excuse me.

If it was sometimes in September that we'd quow inside, we'd say, well, won't it? Feed your head short and sweet on this week after a rambling opener. We talk about Sarayas, AEW debut and a certain white rabbit. Christ!

Yeah. Sarayas, AEW debut. I would put money on the talk about that. Yeah, no, me too.

What if that was September? What's what happened in September? Yeah. And it was towards the end of September anyway.

OK. Might be my after a... It talks in the Internet, just with me rambling something. Oh, yeah, very true.

Very true. How was your Christmas? How was your new year? Happy new year!

Happy new year! Happy new year! So anybody listening as well? Yeah, it was all right.

Got some magic packs to open. Oh, yes. I got lots of cool stuff. Pop vinyls, T-shirts.

Was I? I got some cool stuff. Did you? Yes, I did.

What cool stuff did you? I got a lounge fly bag that says Bingo! Dino DNA on it, which is also about Jurassic Park, as you well know. I do.

I got loads of other things. It's been a quiet one. It's been a quite one. It's been like this time last year we were still sprinting around after Mickey Manos.

I know. I don't think we were done by this time last year, actually. Did the let us back up the country? I think it was like later on because I remember I missed the first week of college.

Oh, really? Because we couldn't get back. We couldn't. For anybody who's not in the room with us, I was air quilting.

We actually couldn't, though. We couldn't if we tried, either. Well, none of the pharmacies were open. The one that was open said that their test results were dodgy.

So we were like, well, yeah, that was enough to go. Well, I forget what's saying on the wheel. I pushed the flight back, fucking. Maybe we should have jumped straight into the show because I need to explain to you how the show is going to work.

Yeah, so complete transparency. Yes. I've not done anything for this because it's going to be a big old shit show. And if I'm if I think it's not your task because that's not fair, but I'm not in the greatest demeritour wrestling at the moment.

But I don't but I don't want to be a miserable ass. Because the whole reason why we're doing this is because we've missed talking to each other like this in this kind of environment. Because you know, we don't speak to each other any other time. We've literally not spoken to each other since September.

Please guys, I know you won't believe it, but please don't believe that. It's true. It's actually true. No, it's nice to do a podcast because you know, we always really enjoy doing them.

The only issue is this podcast is about wrestling and neither of us are into wrestling at the moment. However, that doesn't mean we've not like had a certain ear to the ground and I'll tell you, I've had no fucking ear to the ground. I know nothing and what's going on. And I so I'll save up it for when we actually start.

But literally, it's only five minutes to have multiple things ruin for me. And I was beyond furious. And I know like one of them, which we can talk about straight away when we start. I think you mentioned like months ago, but I fucking slept since then.

I didn't know that that was happening. I got what? The Sasha Banks thing. Oh, right.

Yeah. And I was like literally thought, right. Okay, Wrestle Kingdom's got this off the main bit. You know, Wrestle Kingdom's going up.

I like New Japan. Fuck it. Oh, watch, Wrestle Kingdom. Literally, literally Googled Wrestle Kingdom 17 match card.

And it was the first fucking thing that came up. And I was just like, I can't fucking do anything. I can't do anything without it. It's been spoiled for me.

It's a fucking joke. Why it's just just this is not a comment necessarily on wrestling. But our culture in general, why can't we just enjoy something and not know what it is that's happening? Why do we have to know?

Well, I wasn't on social media. Like literally when I asked you for the login for RTM, I'd not been on RTM for months. No, no, no. Not been on it for months.

You over here retweeting your fucking Barbie thing over Christmas? Yeah, of course I am. Not only joking. But I wasn't on it.

It was all you doing all that kind of stuff. I haven't even fucking looked at any tweets or anything like that. As soon as I decide to watch a wrestling show again and go, oh, let me see what the match card is. Because I obviously knew it was off-spraying a mega because I'm still subscribed to New Japan on YouTube.

So then selling the matches was coming up. And I knew that Kyrie was going to be in a match and all this kind of stuff, which I have strong thoughts on later. I thought, right, I don't actually know what the Wrestle Kingdom card is. So I'm going to have a look at what the card is.

Put Wrestle Kingdom 17 card in. There's no fucking, it's not showing me a card. It's not showing me a link to a fucking card. It's showing me all the rumours that's going to happen.

I'm like, why Google? I just want a fucking match card. I don't want to know who apparently is there or who's with her or who may be with her and what outfit she's going to come out in. I want to know who's wrestling on the fucking card.

That's it. Jesus Christ. I knew I was going to fucking flip out in this show like this straight away. What's even funnier for me that the people are listening at home don't get is that.

I'm just going to head to it because we sat in his shades. So it's even funnier. Which do you hope? I hope you help.

I'm glad they help. Should we crack on? My fourth tablet is still left in front of me. So hopefully...

I do actually have some wines, so there might be a time when I do. Well, you can do that when I'm obviously getting a drink about something I shouldn't be angry over. Well, so you did have a massive sticky toffee pudding before I was like... It's trouble.

No, Jesus Christ from Christmas. This is it when you always left over Christmas food. True that. It was doing the...

I'll do it. You do it. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'll do it. Fuck you, go on then.

Okay. Oh, here we go. Hello everybody and welcome to Aoty M Wrestling. Don't remember what he says next.

Hey, it's the show that brings you wrestling from... Oh, let's go. Bring Brinjourourour wrestling and some thoughts and some opinions. Join us on Twitter at AotyM Wrestling.

Don't fucking know. You're doing God's work. Yeah, tweet us. Tweet.

You can't tweet along, we're not live, but tweet us. Hey, boo, money-grabbers. Happy Say send us a coffee on some mad coffee app. Black as a fiver.

Subscribe to our Patreon. Well, this is a hobby, so we won't be asking you any of those things. No, we'd be interrupted by shit-a-verts all the way for it. You've got to press forward, forward, forward.

Oh, I've just gone over the adverts. Back, back, back. Anyway, it's just a sad-a-a-living room. Talking about wrestling, that we're not watching.

Don't we hate it? So, fuck, that was what's going to happen. So, how this show is going to work? We've been a bit out of the loop.

We are fresh into 2023. And I thought it'd be good to sort of do a whistle-stop tour of 2022. I found like this fucking, what is it called? I found this fucking webpage.

It's the 60 wildest wrestling stories of 2026. 60? I'm not going to say a more, because... I'm not going to read them.

I'm just going to give you the headlines. I'm going to go month by month so we can remember. And it helps us kind of like anchor where we're at with wrestling. And then when we get to September, October, when we dipped out, I'm then going to switch over to go slightly more.

Slightly more detail. Slightly more detail. You won't just off the cuff comments about the pre-September, and then maybe more in-depth post-September. If you have anything to say at all, and if not, we'll just whisper it.

We'll just whisper it on. Well, shall we do tweets before that? We'll have a few tweets. Thanks very much for still being interested, guys.

And you know who you are, because you've tweeted. So, we'll start off with, actually, I literally just put, like, you know you thought for 22. I did say we may talk about Vince. But I don't know if I've got that in me.

know if I've got that in me so we'll cross that shit bridge when we come to it. Well yeah so I asked for Jamie when firstly but my match of the year was Osprey against Orange Cassidy from Forbidden Door. Not a bad shout but I think I'll always technically this year and you got away with it. I showed you some of Dad who did watch wrestling and he said wow that match had every move there isn't it.

Also shout out to Sammy Zayn versus Jackasset WrestleMania. That was good. Also I went to see Jericho and I went in thinking it was I was gonna see a guy winding down his career not as good as he ever was. Typical type of wrestler that does meet and greets but he's still a huge part of the show and actually despite all the cringe has had good matches the majority of the time.

Jericho I think needs talking about because he's ridiculous. He's just fucking everywhere. If I'm got Chris Horik's 31 he's bought the wrestling thing I came across was the Twitter thread of some Hulk Hogan as in Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan that's a great name.

Hulk Hogan like HU double L's COG. If I was from Paul I would 100% want that to be more at his name. I'm absolutely brilliant. Chris Horik's fantastic.

He's just bought brother 400 days a year which you did say to me the other day that he said he's probably wrestled 400 days of the year because of the time difference as I you fucking dumb swiped. And Elvis being a fan of his etc. I think I've not seen that Elvis was a fan of Paul Coby. He's not a fan of Elvis was quite long yet before.

Probably not talking about Ghost though. Elvis came to me in a dream and said he's flown out much he's gone back in time. Keep the young stars down brother. That's like I said make sure you're still in your fucking 50s taking over to CNA and burying everybody.

Shit. Yeah. Love me. Just thanks very much for tweeting.

Thank you. Just before we do go on to your list why is Randy Orton trending? Let's have a look. Is he on the mass singer?

I just think people miss him. So he's like I'll sex these bald head is. The way it goes online. So what to do?

Okay so we are going to wind it back and take a look back at some of the highlights the wildest moments. Is it in chronological order? That's cool. It is.

So last year if you can believe it on Jan 1st get this for a headline of what happened January 1st 2022. Roman Reigns gets COVID leading to Big E losing his title to Rob Lesnar leading to undisputed title Big E breaks neck. Jan 1st. We went in with our banging.

So literally in 2020. I remember seeing like him out in his neck. Yeah there was New Year's Day. So he's in Johnny's first one as WWE champion.

Was going to be in a new PLE. What's PLE mean? Named to day one to defend his title against Bob. Premium live event.

Oh wow. Jesus Christ. Everything was going to pace us with a bit of a grappler. Roman Reigns got COVID.

Yeah don't worry about going through the just the headline. And then on January 5th Phoenix dislocated his elbow on Dynamite. Oh yeah. Was the week of injuries started off in the year.

Right. Jan 16 from Reigns becomes longest reigning Universal Champion. Jan 29th. Vicki James wears Impact Knockout Championship at WWE Royal Rumble.

Oh yeah. I'm sure that is like just okay. We'll let you wear the belt considering we gave you a bin bag full of your shit. Oh yeah.

That's probably what that was. Froener of them. Jan 29th for simple one. Shane McMahon returns to WWE is promptly fired.

I can't even remember what that was. Did he do something at the Royal Rumble that pissed everybody off? Yes. So what did he do?

So after he squabbles with Randy Orton and apparently he brought Lesnar. Oh no. Yeah because I'm sure like he was trying to get like, he came out on the Royal Rumble. Yeah.

Don't quote me on this but I'm sure he was trying to get the order of the Royal Rumble switched. Yeah. And I think I don't always know if it is like the final one coming out. And he wanted basically wanted to switch positions with Randy Orton.

So he would go out later. Yeah. And apparently Randy was like pissing himself backstage because Shane's music hit. And he was like, well no, no it's too early.

Oh you go round. He's like, I'm walking out to your fucking music. Oh yes. Something like that.

Well he's not fired in right after the show. We've been chasing. Oh my. Stating Shane would never get a pop again in WWE as long as Vince is in charge.

I've been said. What the fuck? I know that was Shane will never get a pop ever again. I like to think that's what he said as he was fired in.

You're never going to pop again in WWE. Oh Vince. Christ. Well essentially look if Shane, no spoilers but later on the year he did get an opportunity when Vince wasn't in charge.

So we had into February and we jumped to the 11th. 205 glide dies. It's very WWE focus this. Is it?

No there is a w stuff. Just not maybe not a lot happened. Hey maybe not a lot. Maybe it was just a show that was just you know, tracking along.

I mean, nothing really going too wrong. I'm guessing all the authors shit comes later. Yes. Yes.

So 205 live R.I.P. February 11th. Even though it was still going. No, I was dying.

February 15th Cody Rhodes leaves AWS. Yeah. He certainly did. He certainly did.

February 23rd. Gabriel Kid goes on sabbatical from New Japan Pro Wrestling. Fucking hell. If that's the amount of news I'm expecting.

These are the wildest stories of the year. Gabriel Kid was a young boy. And of course he goes on sabbatical. They might be fucking telling us never open weight six-man title changes at this rate.

Could be a year old day. It's a month's of his mental health though apparently. All right. I'm just kissing all over it.

So we're going into March, March 2nd. Tony Kanbais ring of honor. Oh yeah. I thought that was like the year before, you know.

I didn't know it was last year. That is mad though because they've done, I know they've not like sell TV or anything yet, but they've done a few pay per views and they've restarted, which I did get an email about because I was a member of it. The pre-styled honor club for like $9.99 a month. Which gets them to keep because they've started that up again.

Obviously they've got all in, which kind of started at AW. So that was the email that I was saying. Advertised it as swatch all in the thing that started AW off. So it was even though it was ROH.

It wasn't really ROH. But I enjoyed, I wouldn't sign up to it again. Because I think I hammered it for the six months that I had it before I cancelled it. I enjoyed watching the old ROH pay per views.

I didn't go back and watch the TV because I couldn't be bothered with that. But I watched quite a lot of the pay per views. Every super card of honor, because obviously I had new Japan people with it. It was really weird watching a super card, an ROH super card of honor in a tiny building with about 500 people.

Like Okada, Nakamura, Tanahashi and then all these fucking giant, what I consider to be giant stars and they're in like tiny venues. So that was quite cool to see. I wouldn't sign up to it again though. I'm sure it's for $10 a month.

No, it's quite neat. Well considering there's nothing else going on. The honor club, it was like an unfully or yearly subscription. And you got the pay per views as well.

Is that one way you got like free postage on your merch? Yeah, I got free postage on the super card of honor Madison Square Garden Show. And it was like it cost me about a tenner to get a t-shirt and a hat. And it's sending to me for free from fucking, but now I know a little bit more about postage is.

It's not even going to cost them that much to send it. We're costing about $4 or $5 to send it. So it's not that big of a deal. Yeah.

Still. We're grasping at straws for Marching. It's March 6th. Control Your Narrative has its debut show.

Jesus, was it in a supermarket? I don't know if somebody might have been taking the piss, but I remember... Superpleaet no. I remember seeing a picture and it must have been docked or something.

Right. I've seen loads of controlling narrative show pictures. And there's about 40 people there. It's like Braun Strowman wrestling.

And there's like 40 people. So it's got panned. Well yeah, because well they had to fucking shiproom. Like it wasn't called a shiproom.

I've got to Google what it looked like. So they had... I'm guessing it was a docked picture. But it was like Braun Strowman is wrestling in a ring.

And there's like 10 people maybe stood around the ring. And in the background you can see checkouts. Oh god. And I was just like that fucking real book.

Maybe it was maybe it wasn't. But they had... And again, I've no first hand knowledge of this. It was just something that happened to read over on the Twitter feed at some point.

But they had a shiproom. So it's like after the show, EC3 or a few of the rest. We'd go and sit in the shiproom and whoever attended the show, if they had any gripes about the show, could go in and give them shit basically. Oh wow.

Is that thing? Is that a thing? Shiproom? Well it's not called a shiproom.

I'm just calling it a shiproom. I'm just saying it's a shiproom. It's like you're walking into a room and just to get a ship. So it's the shiproom.

So they apparently did that at every show for like an hour where they just got people giving them shit. Yeah. That's hilarious. Like why would you do that to yourself?

That's hilarious. But there was only 10 people there. So you know, it was more than probably more of a meet and greet than it was. Okay, March 14th.

It's got whole dies. Okay. Yeah. March 24th.

And it says it, MJF Saga Part 1. The Ariel-Hawani interview. Oh yeah. Yeah.

So we were just having a win on that. Yeah, yeah. Saying that he was going to go to the WWE. It's funny that.

It's so funny that literally. I think the last thing I saw properly in wrestling was MJF winning the bell. And then that's when I was like, I don't think it was, that's not the reason. Because we've been saying about MJF winning the bell for ages.

But I think that was the last thing I saw properly. Yeah. But I still didn't watch any TV and I don't think up to that point. But yeah.

March 29th. It's a little bit more dramatic. The Great O'Kahn saves teenage girlfriend of Duxian. What?

Okay, I need to read this out. It's only shot. I didn't know this. On the eve of March 29th, New Japan Pro Wrestling's Great O'Kahn spotted a drunk pervert grabbing the teenage girl by the shoulders near a train station I can't pronounce.

O'Kahn stepped in, separated the two and offered the young girl pancakes in hoping it'd make her feel better. When asked what he wanted in return, he asked her to suck his dick. You dick out. You nearly, you nearly asked her to please check.

Check out New Japan. That's fucking funny. Great O'Kahn is a fucking star and he's not a star in ring because he is the more that the slightly below average can. Yeah.

But like he had that all that shit when he was in Las Vegas as well. Do you remember that? Where he was like he was riding a fucking mechanical cock. That's the guy, right.

Okay, yeah, yeah. Riding a mechanical cock like a boy. And just like doing his Conor McGregor impression like grabbing like strippers arses. Yeah, I remember now.

So we actually say somebody. Currently so. Like that's news to me. I never knew that.

March 29th. These are the wildest wrestling stories of the year. Well that is more wild than Roman Reigns becomes the longest reigning undisputed champion. I know, what the wildest thing is.

A fucking five year old, 10 years ago could have predicted that. True man. Ready for April. April 2nd, Cody Rhodes joins WWE.

That was quite a gap between him. Well, you've been enjoying him. So that must have been WrestleMania then, April 2nd. Yes, I would have assumed so.

So continuing on that thread, Logan Paul is actually really good at wrestling from April 2nd. Right, whoever wrote this article needs to go fuck himself. Really, there's a difference between Passable and really good. Like really good is a bit strong.

I watched that match and I would say it was Passable. Stone calls Steve Austin wrestles a match at age 57. Which he's doing again this year. Is he really?

Well, no one's again. No, I hope not because it would suck for a wits. Just keep taking the L. But like, it actually wouldn't mind.

Well, yeah, he's training. He's back at it again. So if Brian, I don't even know if Brian's still going or if he is going or what. But that would be good for him.

Yes. April 6th, Nash Carter fired from WWE, wild champion. Who's Nash Carter? Nash Carter, otherwise known as Zachary Wentz of MSK.

Oh yeah. Ryan Hye. Was a tag team champion, wasn't he? Then four days after the career champion, his wife, leaked past photos of Nash Carter imitating Adolf Hitler, amidst domestic abuse allegations.

There you go. Well, what can you say? I don't know what the next one's about. I don't know if we care.

But May 6th. Oh, and May, that letterhead. Tessa Blanchard has fallen out with the winning of wrestling. I don't know if I...

Yeah. Another falling out with the wrestling. It wasn't shocking news that Tessa Blanchard and wrestling could be a falling out. No, it doesn't say that.

Well, we know why. Is there any non-whites members of the roster? Because I'm sure that's why. OK, May 10th, Kota Ibushi versus New Japan pro wrestling.

Kota Ibushi? Oh, yeah, shit. Yeah, that's not sorted either. So what was that about?

Do you know what that... So he says, announcing May that he vowed to expose Cheetah's gun and the sexually harassing bosses he'd been dealing with, calling out not only the company president, but Tokyo sports and TV asset, I can't say that as well. While talk of Ibushi exposing New Japan upon his contract expiration is still ongoing fear within New Japan to this day. All we know at this point is that the company allegedly tried to push him to come back early from injury and Ibushi had been talking about running his own company.

Yeah, so that's what I didn't hear about exposing sexual misconduct. But I heard that they tried to get him back from injury too early and he was like, fuck you guys. And I think he didn't wrestle, but he was like, what we would say was the manager, but I think it was called like the second. So if you're like in an old school duel, you have a second who could step in and kill if needed.

He was on a show with somebody second. So it was insinuated that he could get involved, but he didn't and they got really angry about that and threatened to sack him and all this kind of shit and then he went completely AWOL and he's still been AWOL. As far as I know, I have not seen anything from him. He obviously wasn't on Wrestle Kingdom or I didn't actually watch New Year's Dash as well.

But the yeah, I didn't know there was anything going on as far as him sort of in his own company or exposing like, what'd you say like misogyny or something? Yeah, essentially harassing bosses, but that was like, that's somewhere else. I don't know, I can't really. That was not to do in each partner.

I'm not sure. Cats are pretty simple here. I mean, it's to form for Japanese. I know it's like stigmatizing the other Japanese in general, but they're not particularly forward thinking as far as gender equality.

Yeah, I didn't know. I didn't know that. He is mixed on that show because he's a gigantic star. But I did interestingly, if I did get an email through from their shop and they were selling a Bushi stuff, so I don't know whether or not that's just, it wasn't like, oh, here's Kota Bushi's new stuff.

It was hit. Oh, we've got a new lion mark t-shirt. Why don't you check out the other ones? It was like a Bushi Akada tahashi naito, off spray type job.

So yeah, they're still advertising them on their sites to sell things from. Fair doos. May 16th, Sasha Banks and Naomi walk out, WWA. Oh, how brave.

I don't know what, so retrospectively, based on what's been going on, what do you think about that now, then walking out? He was a Vince thing. I think it was probably a Vince McMahon thing. I mean, I don't think it was any surprise.

It was just odd timing because shortly after that, the story started coming out about Vince McMahon and I thought, I mean, I'm sure they were just disgruntled with booking, but I don't know. I think perhaps they were disgruntled with booking and they did, the Sasha Banks special walking out and then the Vince started happening. It's like, we don't want to go back now. Now's a really bad time to go back because I don't want to just seem to be of being coaxed back by the frigging harasser.

So, but apparently Naomi's going back. Is she going back? Yeah, apparently so. Well, I think she was in Japan.

No, we were. I think she was in Japan with Mercedes Monet. Because Call Anderson, because obviously stuff all the way on Instagram. Yeah.

He had a picture with her. Oh, OK. And I don't know whether it was when he came back or what, but he said, oh, great timing in Japan. Yeah.

Which was going there then? So she might have been there with her. Yeah. OK, May 28th, M.J.S.

Agapart too, the meeting great. Oh, yeah, he didn't fucking show up. I didn't show up. I didn't show up.

June 3rd. That's weird still. That, him not showing up's weird. Yeah, there's definitely something going on, like, some legitimately going on.

Yeah, because it was all that shit as well, like, whether or not, it was true or not from, like, Rajshii's saying that there was a flight booked in his name and all that kind of stuff, which they all now deny. But there's definitely something. Yeah. There's definitely something going on at that point.

It's so bad. It was just, it was weird. It's very weird for the time on it. So June 3rd, CM Point relinquishes the AW Championship due to injury, I believe, on it.

The injured. I kind of fucking remember. I've kind of like struck him from me, Brian, a little bit. Yeah.

June 5th, Cody Rhodes, who beats Seth Rollins in all-time classic with a torn pectoral. Now this, this I used for the picture on the tour. Oh, really? It was fucking awesome.

And I don't, I've not used the term awesome. I've used the term fucking with more expletives after it for WWE in the last like, fucking, 18 months. But this was fantastic. And not just because he had a torn pect, I think, you know, a lot of things were, you know, it's kind of like the person who wrote this article saying, like, Logan Paul's a great wrestler.

Like, he was good on that day, but, you know, from, you know, I just, from what I've seen, he's not, he has had bad matches since. But the fact that he had that torn peck and he still wanted to do the, was it Helen and Sel? I think she was saying. I'm sure it was a Helen and Sel.

And it was just fucking, it was an all-timer. Yeah, Helen and Sel much. Absolutely all-timer. The amount of pain that he must have been in, would have been ridiculous.

Yeah. And then the spot, because I, you know, on the YouTube clips, watched the spot the day after on Raw as well, like he was saying, oh, I've got to go away for a bit. And Seth comes out and just starts beating the fuck out of his torn peck again. Like, poking it, I don't know if it was, yeah, he was like poking it with a kendo stick.

Oh my God. And I know they can do that sort of thing without putting any pressure on, but the visual image was good enough. Well, that was great. And the whole thing to kind of like, and I'd interestingly throw this to you as well, the whole Cody leaving AEW.

And I know he got injured and everything like that, but fucking masterstroke. Absolute masterstroke. He got out just as that shit was going to start fucking sinking. And I know the ship's not sunken, but you know what, you know, I'm insinuating by that.

But Cody literally got the fuck out of dodge before, like maybe he'd seen a few things and just went, I don't know how I thought this. Yeah. Like my, not only one of my brands be bigger over there, but I'm going to step out of these people's shit before the pig started fucking fighting in it. Seriously.

He was doing his own thing. I think it was pretty obvious. He was trying to do his own thing in AEW, which made you think that he was just out on the zone, just trying to sort out his own shit and it wasn't working because it wasn't that cohesive with the rest of the show and the fans, you know, and with the ones I think like, do you, do you try and be a face? It's not really working and no, it just wasn't.

Well, the fans decided to openly hated him. Yeah. And I hated him as a person because I do think he's great, but like hated the character. And all the typical face tropes that you would give.

So interesting question actually, am I, um, am I asked like after we go through this about the whole face and heel thing? But all those tropes of like, you know, he's on top of the fucking boss and, you know, all this, all that crap that was supposed to make you cheer for him. Yeah. Like all the same sort of tricks that they used to do with seeing it and with Reigns.

And we've seen it not really work because you can argue like Reigns at the moment, like I watched, I think I watched one thing because Sammy Zayn said something funny in it, but they were getting shied out there building. And Reigns is like still doing the acknowledgement thing, but he's like, acknowledge me that pops huge, you know, so he's like, but he's the star. No, even though he's doing the healy thing. But from what it looks like, they've got Zayn as the comedy act.

That's kind of making it a face team. Because he's the larger in charge, but he gave Zayn the honorary oops t-shirt, pops the crowd to the crowd, aduring him, you know, whatever they're doing with him at the moment. Because again, I've not fucking seen a thing. But the thing that I've, the thing, one thing that I've seen that he's on the, he's on the fucking strat, strat's very clever now.

Because he's getting shied out the building, you know, he's probably selling fucking twice as many shirts. It's all working. So they know things when they don't work, but Cody was doing those things that don't work. And because we even said at the time, or I think they're going for a scene or thing here, where Cody gets booed off some people and shied off some others.

Now, WWE crowd that would work because it's full of kids. It's full of like casual fans and people who will just do what they tell them to do. Whereas AW crowds are the wrestling fans. So there's not many kids, there's not many, you know, they're all, it's like a paper view crowd every time.

And they won't do what you tell them to do. And if you start thinking, because when I say you won't do what I'll tell them to do, every wrestling show is telling you to do something, telling you to cheer, telling you to boo, it's telling you to, you know, with a big move, it's telling you to gasp. But when they realize, when the cloak of, kind of, what's the word, the cloak of immersion is gone, and you realize that you're telling them what to do, that's when they'll turn on you. Whereas WWE, when that happens, that's when you get the half and half crowd.

Yeah. And the half and half crowd sounds great from an audible point of view. And Cena used to, you know, turn them all around every night, which must have been fucking exhausting. Oh, God.

But yeah, that's what Cody's gonna get to get out the building, I think, on, on WWE TV when he's back. And, you know, and all that kind of stuff. But should we move on then? So June 13th, and I'd forgotten that he was even here.

Jack RDA doesn't even run cut shot by D-Shine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not even even when it's readable. And he's not even knocking him out anymore, is he?

Well, I don't know because I've not seen anything, but I would presume not because I would have thought I'd see something pop up on Twitter. Yeah. Well, you have that whole thing of like leaving WWE and walking out through the crowd. Yeah.

And having that like weird moment. And then the day after the granny is releasing and out it's at all. So he's like, no, I'm fine. I'm everything's fine.

But obviously everything wasn't fine. No, well, he said he was immediately pulled from TV sensory having hasn't been seen since. Well, if he's that really have, great. Yeah.

So he's not still there because he's been one time yet. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, Carter finally debuts in AW on June 22nd.

Oh, I remember that. So that was for the Chicago show, then. So Forbidden Door. Yeah, we were on holiday in Florida.

You like anything to say about that? No, just. So he debuted on 22nd and then it was Forbidden Door, June. The Forbidden Door time period is weird because we were away.

And there was that can we go, oh no, it'll cost X amount of money extra, we spent all this money on the away. Do we really want to take two days out to go watch a wrestling show in hindsight? Yes, should have done should have moved having an Earth. But because that was a really strange sign for me because I didn't watch the Dynamite because we were away.

Yeah. Didn't really watch the pay for you because we were away. And I've not gone back to it properly since when we came back, I did put it on and I did watch it while I wasn't watching it. If I make it.

We did watch it. Didn't we? When we were there. I remember enjoying it if I was great.

We were watching in our hotel room. Anyway. Well, that's everything that I didn't remember. He felt sleep, actually.

Watching it. Yeah, because I was fucking dead. From all the fun. So July 7th, the offers of pain can't run a wrestling promotion.

Oh my god. Do you remember this? What was the name of it? So it was the World Entertainment Series.

Well, their same series was supposed to have their debut show in July 7th in Nottingham. Their grift fell apart when wrestlers like Matt, Aidan English, Ray Walt and Nia Jax publicly called them out for mismanagement, otherwise falsely advertising their appearances. After the show's cancellations, wrestlers actually booked for the show like Moose and Eric Young were reportedly paid. But Jax got back half the money she was promised.

And the pain boys ran off to sell NFTs. Sell NFTs, yeah. Cool. That's NFTs is a scumbag move just to its own, right?

Yeah, it's great. And in that Logan Paul getting done now for stealing people's money, because of NFTs. It's all a bit murky. I don't really understand.

And it's not something that I ever believed does any value. Well, no, because maybe people who know more about it would. But why would a virtual token be worth anything? I don't know if you say that because things like Bitcoin are a similar thing.

That's a currency though, isn't it? No, it's like, what is it? Do you get the rights to that particular picture of the Undertaker? You know what I mean?

I don't understand it. And I've had it explained to me a few times and I still don't understand it. And I'm not, well, I'm stupid, but not that stupid. So I'm going to explain something to me once in that moment.

I'm like, oh yeah, that's kind of cool. Yeah, it tends to make sense, but it just always seems so murky to me. Why are you buying a picture that you could probably right click and save? I don't know.

I guess it's like having a limited run of like special edition prints that you have on your wall, you know, because it's only a hundred printed. But I just, at least you physically get something. Exactly. I just can't get the whole concept of something digital, having holding that.

Because what the fuck would you do with it? Because it doesn't non-fungible mean it's not real. Or it's not, I think. I have no idea.

I don't know. I don't know. Okay, okay. No.

So July 22nd, Vince Van Manratayes. Does he now? Amid an investigation into a legislature on misconduct. Well, that's technically this year and it's only that run for Liam.

Vince's daughter, Steph, and Nick Khan, have since been named Co-CEOs of WWE. Co-CEOs? She's a she-yo. I think you'll find.

July 23rd, Jonathan Gresham versus Tony Khan. What was this? Do you have to rush on his own bones, pick with Tony Khan? It's around in July's ROH, Deppie Ford, his honor event.

Though Gresham appeared in on April's Battle of the Belts card. He didn't appear in AEW again, it's not Hanful of Matches on Rampage. And Dark in July, right, before he was told he was losing the belt to Claudio. Gresham and the AEW slash ROH president exchanged words about Khan's lack of communication.

And though the biggest topic of discussion among fans afterwards was Gresham's alleged use of his PWI 500 ranking as an argument for why he should have been treated better. There was still another black mark on Tony Khan's year of disgruntled workers. Yeah, so from what I remember of this is he was, and again, this is just what I remember could be completely wrong, but he weren't happy with how he was being used. And I thought at the time, similar because of what John Fongresham's a fantastic wrestler, I was watching ROH reasonably regularly up until that point.
