21. Chad Damiani - No Holds Barred (1989)

from You Should Love Wrestling · host Nick Gligor, Stephen Perlstein, Boardwalk Audio

This week, the boys are very excited to welcome former WCW announcer Chad Damiani (JETZO, the upcoming “Fruit Ninja” movie) to the show to discuss the 1989 WWF feature film “No Holds Barred” starring Hulk Hogan, and it’s incoherent “story” which was mainly rewritten by Vince McMahon and Hogan himself. Plus, Chad discusses many wacky road tales from his days in WCW, including mismanagement and clueless booking, iron-clad contracts, backstage politics, promos, Kevin Sullivan, that time when Chuck Palumbo and Shawn Stasiak kept pushing backstage for a mountain gorilla to be their manager, the company’s demise and most importantly, how Chad taught the Hulkster what the internet is. Nick and Joey are very excited to hear these stories, while Stephen is mainly focused on the word “Jockass”. Plus, fan tweets are read in a segment called “Cheap Pops!” For full show notes, including links to watch matches, go to BoardwalkAudio.com/YouShouldLoveWrestling Follow us on Twitter @YSLWpodcast Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/YouShouldLoveWrestling/ Email us at [email protected]  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
