Asteroidi krojijo razvoj Zemljinega površja vse od njenega nastanka. Morda so bili asteroidi ključni za nastanek življenja na Zemlji. A sledove vseh teh asteroidov je na Zemlji zelo težko najti. Zato je vsako odkritje kraterja, še posebej starega, toliko bolj pomembno. Govorili bomo o odkritju sledov kraterja v Avstraliji, ki naj bi nastal pri trku asteroida pred 3.5 milijardi let. Nato bomo omenili manjši in veliko mlajši krater: krater Silverpit pod Severnim morjem. Misija Hayabusa-2 naj bi čez 6 let dospela do majhnega asteroida KY26. Nova opazovanja asteroida postavljajo nekatere cilje misije pod vprašaj. Znanstvenike je presenetil ponavljajoč izbruh sevanja gama - izbruhi se pa ja ne ponavljajo?! In še o tem, da sedaj poznamo že več kot 6000 potrjenih eksoplanetov.V podkastu smo uporabili zvočne posnetke Evropske vesoljske agencije. Vsi zvoki so projekti sonifikacije znanstvenih podatkov.
