On Sunday, March 12th, 2023, in the scenic village of Freudenberg, Germany, the body of a missing girl was discovered near an old railroad station deep in the woods. The perpetrators who viciously killed this twelve-year-old child would shock and horrify the entire community. How these offenders were treated by the justice system outraged the nation and led many to question the legal age of criminal culpability. ***There are currently 28 U.S. states and Washington D.C. that have no set minimum age for criminal prosecution.
