21. When You Miss the Narcissist & Listener Q&A

from Reclaiming Pride: LGBT+ Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse · host Sally

Send the host a message here!Missing an abuser is very confusing and can lead to us feeling immense shame. Someone who’s never been in a toxic relationship, may not understand why this happens and, in this episode I seek to take away the shame of this and explain why it happens and how we can move forward from this. We will also look at some of the clinical and emotional reasons we miss the narcissist or toxic person such as, ‘euphoric recall’ and ‘anhedonia.’ The bottom line is, you do not miss the narcissist. You miss who you needed and wanted them to be. I look forward to healing with you.
