A customer began talking to me about politics and made some pretty strong assumptions about the kind of people who supported Donald Trump.There was just one problem: she had no idea she was talking to one.The experience stuck with me—not because of the politics, but because of what it revealed about how easily we can create stories about entire groups of people based on assumptions, stereotypes, and our own beliefs.We break the conversation down into four parts:1.
