Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. You're listening to the AllTalk Car podcast hosted by Peter Rowners. We've got a listening guest on today. George reached out to us with a bit of a dilemma, but he solved the dilemma.

We're doing a live drive. I won't tell you what he's yet, but you've already read in the title, but let's start. It's a Tesla. No, it's an E63 AMG-4 Madic W123, the last of the E63.

We don't even know what the new one's going to be like, but George, thank you for letting us in your vehicle drive and little address in the back seat. So let's go for a drive. And that's just cruising. What made you buy this car?

Welcome to the show. Thanks, Nate. Great to be on. When I reached out, I was looking for a more comfortable German.

So Dan Ben had to be a V8. I was driven in C63 before. And they'll break cars and still are. Those of us coming for a little bit more comfortability.

So, the Antwerich's garden. Don't you guys got me? Yeah, a bit of background. So you rode out, so you had to be a V8.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you're probably addicted to it by the C63. And we looked at, I mean, you had the Panamera GTM, so that was a V8. What else did we look at?

The Audis. Yep. The Oven sort of talked to you, tried talking on the SUV, the RSQ8. Then you got stupid money, you're in a place like that.

I don't know if that was within your budget. But then you can't go past Europe. You had to stick to the Europeans. Though, the N5, 3.2, 3.8 is not bad.

But you settled back with Angie? Yeah, I knew what I was getting. Having Angie's in the front. So they gave me a lot of comfort, none of that.

The N5 and the Panamera was definitely on the cars. But you started against those. And to be frank with you, I've got it. Yeah.

And with these cars, it's the theatrics as well. It's a little loud. They're brash people. We're driving it now in comfort.

Yeah, it's in comfort. In comfort, you can cruise, puddle around. It's a very comfortable car. It's got the sports seats.

And I'm pretty comfortable in it. It's similar to the E53 we drove recently with the captain. The setup is all the same. You've got your twin digital dash.

It's pure Mercedes. If you're familiar with the Mercedes. However, you've got, with the AMG, you've got the little, the moved with little twillydolls with digital. So you're in comfort if you touch it, switches to different modes.

And the screen, it's like a little mini screen. So the dial on the steering wheel does different things as it changes. So that's a new thing. Now, whether you've got the M1 and the fixed settings, how you want to desire, how you want to put it.

But in this case, Mercedes have gone one step further. We can change it. That's just in comfort. We haven't even played with it.

The paddles are putting sport yet. But it's not like it. And the gearbox adjuster, it's holding gear. I've been thinking that I was going to keep going.

But I just wanted to keep going. I don't have enough points in my license to keep going. I just got my back. And not in your car.

Do they still? If you don't have a 45, they still can seize the car. I was out of the inventory. I don't have any questions.

If you want to find out, that's fine. That's very, very, very smooth. It's a very smooth, very docile. It's 150 kilowatts.

It's 850 Newton-B of talks. Like it's a big engine. It's a full-wheel twin-turbo V8. It's not the old 6.2 liters.

But this thing, this engine's active. It wants to go. It wants to go. It's not heavy and big.

The old E63s and the C63s have big heavy lump of an engine where they really refined it without losing it. It's not a choice in the lever, greedy down. How about that address? It's a job too.

It's not nose. If you're expecting to be a nose heavy. And it's pretty agile. I'm just buffing the sports with the engines.

It's a big dilemma. It's sport of wakes up. You've got the theatrics with the blowback and the exhaust. You make the right decision.

This is a beautiful car. It is. And it's not a wrap. The big W's traditionally have a very...

The suspension, even though you've been comforted, they're very hard. The beam is only a mile, they're three. You just couldn't get it right. But even for these sports seats, I'm pretty comfy.

We drove from Adelaide. I don't know if you know a GLC63. And made it feel like I was sitting on a bus seat. It was uncomfortable.

These are a bit more padded. I think they're a next level up. It's a $280,000 car. You'd expect the seats to be a little bit better than the GLCs.

And I think they're the same seats. But you've got all the mod cons, all the features. You've got Apple CarPlay. You've got if it rearranged the dash, I mean you've got the traditional layout, but you can do funky screens with starwalls looking shapes.

I'll do a different color. Yeah. So you've got to head up the splates. I mean the speed.

I'm not tricking you just with the taco or cenobics. You can't. You can't say. Even they head up the splates adjustment, but I'm not going to sit here and drive and find these buttons.

I think this is a beautiful car. It is. And it is a totally different car to the seat. I know it previously.

Yeah. Which is what I expected. So I drove your seats a lot of time ago. Yeah, this is a bigger car.

It's got it's ball plates on the roads. But the GLC63 you can really let go. You can lose control, but it can get away from you. That's how I get that.

These all drivers walk a bit better. Yeah, true. That helps. And this keeps you planted for a big car.

It handles exceptionally well. Yeah. Does it feel like a thing? No, and it picks up very, very quickly.

It wraps around you. And that's right. I'm really impressed with it. I was expecting a lump of a thing.

Because we recently drove the E53. It's a very often E53 because I had the inline 6. I thought, oh, that's probably why it feels a bit more agile. It's a lighter engine.

And in my head this morning, I was thinking, I'm going to get into a brute of a car that's going to try and drag me around. But it's not. I'm in control. And it doesn't feel that heavy or brutish.

Yeah. It's quite good. As you're getting up there, you just want to keep walking. Oh, yeah.

That was the top of second gear. We're already three figures. And you're not even pin back in the seats. The all-wheel drive really plants it down.

There's no loss of grip. No, no stages. I'm fighting with the steering wheel. It is.

Yeah, well, I guess it's up. You guys are going to make the right choice too, right? So you understood exactly what I was looking for. I went through all the different vehicles and landed on this one.

And you guys, it is a right car for me. So then you're a family man. You want young kids and drags to the back. It's comfortable.

I think with the Panamera, it would have been a bit squishy tie. It's going to be a sort of niche vehicle. The Audi's a bigger car. They're more comfortable.

They're not tiny. There's all-rounds. Yeah, it's good to see. Exceed without that.

That little bit too small for our family. And this SUV's a... I don't know. I think they do feel a bit top-heavy.

Yeah. I wouldn't be as agile as this car. So I'm really impressed as a Tesla. So Drayus, quick question.

You've been in my Tesla, which is quicker. Yeah, but your car doesn't work particularly. It does, doesn't it? Yeah.

Yeah. It's funny how the noise disguises the speed. When you're in the Tesla, there's no noise. So your body just reacts to the speed.

Yeah. Yeah. With this car, you've got the gears, you've got the V8. Your body's used to that thrust and that sort of pace.

Yeah. It may not feel as quick, but I think this is probably quicker than the Tesla. Especially at the top end. Right.

Well, thank you for letting us drive this beast of the vehicle. That was great to have you this morning. It's a thumbs up. So we give you a thumbs up or down ratings.

No, of course. And we've done one sideways one, maybe. But this is definitely almost a two-thousand. Look, it's a lot of money.

It's not a cheap car. God knows how much cost to ensure. So in the running cost, I don't know if you have $50 bills you throw up the servo. You probably just spent 70 bucks with your...

Oh, okay. I was chucking on the top. So I could see the $50 notes flying out. So yeah, it's...

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to drive this. And I just had to help you enjoy it. So it's one of those horrible pleasures. And all those cars with the B engine and with all the theatrics.
