Located in Denver's City Park, it is one of the largest natural history museums in the region and an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution.Fun Facts:HistoryThe museum was officially incorporated in 1900 as the Colorado Museum of Natural History.It originated from a collection of Rocky Mountain fauna, butterflies and moths, and crystallized gold, assembled by naturalist Edwin Carter.The museum has a long history of significant scientific contributions, including the 1926 discovery of "Folsom points" in New Mexico, which provided evidence of human presence in North America over 10,000 years ago.It was renamed the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in 2000 to emphasize its broader mission. f you like the episode, please like, share, comment and leave feedback.
