Dr. Erika J Smith is passion driven, persistent, tenacious,results oriented and is an agent ofchange. This dynamic individual hails from St. Mary’s, Georgia. Dr. Smith graduated from TheUniversity of Georgia in 1998 where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.She then matriculated to Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry where she received the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. Dr. Smith was committed to excellence in the field of dentistry by completing a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Smith moved to the Las Vegas Valley in 2008 and has been a multiple practice owner. She is a entrepreneur, community leader, and trailblazer in the areas of innovation, consulting, and speaking with her many years of expertise. Dr. Erika Smith is a proud member of The Armed Forces chamber and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Theta Theta Omega chapter.     In 2020, Dr. Erika J Smith decided to make her mark in politics running for Nevada Assembly District 41 and also making history as the first black woman to run for that political seat. In 2022, Dr. Smith has set her sights on running for Las Vegas City Council Ward 2. She truly is a candidate who understands the assignment as she is leading a people powered campaign that embodies integrity, vision, accountability, transparency, equity, inclusion, and diversity. She has been coined the civic engagement candidate who will bridge the gap between socioeconomic status, political parties, races and ethnicities, and all communities.
