214. How To Think Like A Pharmacist, Dangers of Statins, & 8 Root Causes of Disease - Lindsey Elmore

from The Joel Evan Show · host Joel Evan

Lindsey Elmore is a former pharmacist turned holistic health practitioner and wellness brand builder. Lindsey tells her story of prescribing people pills over and over again, but just watching them get sicker. On top of that, she started to learn that many of these pills weren't tested properly. We get into the dangers of statins and how after being a pharmacist for almost 10 years, she was unaware of the mitochondrial damage being done by statins, but yet in Japan this was common knowledge, so they prescribed CoQ10 alongside statins to prevent mitochondrial damage. Since leaving and moving to a more holistic side of medicine, she's partnered with health/wellness brands that she aligns with and helps build them and scale. Right now, Lindsey has partnered with Amare, a Mental Wellness company focused on supplements that alter the gut microbiome in a positive way to influence the brain. We also cover the 8 root causes of disease and what to do about them, wellness made simple, and how to look for good quality supplements and think as a pharmacist would.
